I think Indifference is a better song.. Easily! I mean it has lyrics..! And they're awesome!!

But Ledbetter works better for me as a "thank you, good night" type song..

Neither. I think shows would be best ended with something that's really rocking and upbeat (besides RITFW). I don't really care for PJ's 'end it with a slow song' philosophy.

It is all in moderation.   I wouldn't want to hear the same song every night.   I love the slow endings though.  It gives you a chance to just relax and soak everything in.  Look around at the room and all the people with the lights on.

Now, starting a show with Go or Animal every once in a while would be a nice change of pace.

Ledbetter is the better closer. Indifference is the better song.

I feel like Indifference is such a downer song, and to end the night with that, not my style but not my choice either. I do like Indifference in the 2nd encore however

How does Indifference leave you on a sad note? That last verse is so empowering and has the whole room screaming it

I love indifference. five out of five.

But YL is the ending song. Just like Release is the opening song.

Been getting YL so often, disappointed they crossed off Indifference last night. Both are great though.

YL just seems like a better closing song, but I would love to hear Indifference as a closer next...that would be sweet!

    Indifference
I've been to 27 pearl jam shows, and I've only seen indifference once (Seattle '09).   I really never get to hear it.   I've heard it as often as I've heard Dirty Frank and not even as often as I've heard let me sleep :)

I'm voting indifference because it's criminal I've only heard it live the one time.

If these are my only two choices I’ll take Indifference. But I always felt is was more suited as an encore starter, not a show ender. I’d rather here something like Alive or Baba to end a show.

YLed can fuck off for eternity. Song sucks.

I'm not sure.  I mostly go to Vancouver/Seattle shows.  Always seems to be Y.L. (or a few times where they busted out a song after Y.L.   I've been to every Vancouver show since '98 except '09, and I think they played it '09.   Seattle shows are usually kind of big, and they tend to close with Y.L. at bigger shows.

I was hoping they'd played it at Safeco on night 1, but they closed both shows out with Y.L. :(

Agree 100 percent.  This was great back in 2003.  Time to change it up.

Eddie forgets the words to both, so it could go either way.

After be stuck for a half hour+ in the concourse to get out, I’d choose YL just so I can head towards the exit.

Yellow Ledbetter for me, especially if it has the Little Wing tag.
Although, I’d love to see it close out Encore 1, so they can just rock out in Encore 2

I know YL draws a lot of disappointment in this place for it's frequency in closing, but to me, the show just doesn't feel 'done' if i don't hear it.

When the lights are on, and they're leaving that last encore on anything other than YL... isn't a part of you hoping that Mike hangs back and 'forces' the rest of the guys back out, for that final, final goodbye??

I'd take both if it meant squeezing fewer, ugh, covers out of them. Like... really, six covers? Did we all travel halfway across a continent to watch 35 mins of a cover band.

Not fair...Ed's use of non standard chorus/ verse structures makes the majority of their songs very difficult to recall lyrics

Like many of you, I chose Indifference since I prefer it as a song. For different reasons, neither work for me as a show closer - YLB is overplayed while Indifference ends the album well but not a show (too mellow/heavy - and should be played with the lights down).

Y*Led, it is like hearing the 7th-inning stretch song, we all know what it means.  If you dont hear it you feel incomplete at this point.
