    Next auction item for #PearlJam #TheHomeShows #TheHomeFund
Rarest Eddie Vedder show poster. Secret show, Eddies first official solo performance, 2 night stand March 24th and 25th. Kenyon Hall in West Seattle. Eddie Vedder and Brad Klausen designed. Only 300 made, not numbered.
As legend has it, Easy Street’s Matt Vaughan and Eddie were talking about presenting a private intimate performance. The “Into the Wild” soundtrack was being very well received and critically acclaimed, eventually winning the Golden Globe in 2008 for best original song “Guaranteed”. There was big demand for Eddie to perform some of these songs and a tour was being discussed.
As Matt puts it, “Eddie called me up, he was riding his ATV in Hawaii, so it was hard to understand him, but the jist of it was that he was considering doing his first solo show and was asking if I could him find a venue. He wanted a place that was within walking distance from his home and also where his family and friends could get to easily. With this being his first official solo show, he knew that he’d been winging it a little bit and didn’t want the pressures of a bigger show. After a few days I gave him a list of a few places. We discussed doing another Easy Street show, but we wanted a seated environment and an unexpected place, almost like a living room show. It wasn’t until Eddie got back home that we found a place. Eddie found it on his own while he was walking his dog. He gave me the address, he said “it’s a house, but it says “Home of the Wurlitzer” on it, can you check it out? Nobody answered when I knocked on the door.” Kenyon Hall 7904 35th Ave SW. I met with Lou Magor, the Director of the Hall. Lou is an accomplished piano player and one of very few people that can still play a Wurlitzer theater pipe organ. Easy Street café staff handled concessions and produced the show. The event happened to fall on Easy Street’s 20th Anniversary. Eddie brought Matt up on stage at one point and presented the shop with a Joe Strummer Fender Telecaster.
