I showed up alone to Ed Ved/ NYC 2 without any tickets around 4pm or so. I hung out for a while by Ed's bus, waiting for him to come out from soundcheck. He came out, and my friend gave me the Ed guitar pick he got from him (for whatever reason a pick didn't make it into my hands when Ed was passing them out, and my friend knows that I play guitar). Next, in taking my friends advice I swung by the box office around 4:45pm or so, and asked if they had any tickets available just as a shot in the dark. She said they had 2 left!!! I was rollin' solo so I grabbed one, and it was Orchestra, row E, dead center, 20 rows back!!! I was freaking out. I couldn't hold back my emotions when Ed opened with Walking The Cow/ Trouble. The night/ show was sick, I couldn't stop slow tears from falling, it was very intense to see Ed in such an intimate performing situation. It was my first Ed Ved solo show (I'm 30+ Pearl Jam Shows), and everything fell perfectly into place for me. I just wanted to share this story with everyone, and I'd love to read more of your stories.

  • Hey man...it was cool hanging out at Coogan's and El Conde with you beforehand. Glad that everything worked out for you, and the show was incredible. Welcome to the board!

I liked the part about the slow tears falling. That part was awesome.
