Call me crazy, but i like to elevate my good time by smoking a little something something at concerts.

Is there anyone else planning on personally testing how this facility reacts to blunt smoke?

Has anyone been to the NJPAC before to shed some light on this?

Any info/suggestions is appreciated since i will be sitting alone and 100% more paranoid.

Thanks.

I would try to be very very careful with that. I am all for it but on the west cost the ushers were the fun police and were watching people like hawks. It was really quite disturbing.

My guess is that this is a nice venue (think theater) and not an arena. So smoking of any kind would not be taken kindly or tolerated.

    10/3/05 Philly. 5/27-28/06 Camden. 6/23/06 Pitt. 6/19-20/08 Camden. 6/24/08 MSG. 8/7/08 EV Newark, NJ. 6/11-12/09 EV Philly, PA. 10/27-28-30-31/09 Philly, PA., 5/15/10 Hartford,5/17/10 Boston, 5/18/10 Newark, 5/20-21/10 MSG
  • These are the same things my friends told me about the place, that its an amphitheatre and not a regular PJ show...where there are 500 individual clouds of smoke being blown into the air simultaneously.

These mixed opinions are leading me astray.

I have been to NJPAC before and I will tell you to be very carefull. If you plan on smoking do it before you get any where near the venue. There is always a huge police presense there. Newark PD doesn't go around looking to harrass concert goers but if they see you smoking they will arrest you.

If it;s anything like NYC 1 or 2 you WON"T be smoking during the concert. Everyone will be sitting and it's a small venue and there is security/usher's. I would do it BEFORE. it's not a PJ concert, everyone is calm / cool / collective and SITTING so if someone see's smoke they come right for you.... good luck with that! !
  • Thanks a lot for the heads up people.

I guess i'll just apologize in advance to the Tier 1 crowd for taking so many bathroom breaks...sorry guys and girls. :D
  • you might be breaking cherry if you light one up here at your seat.
this place is pretty new and fancy.

for the people way up in the balcony back rows,
when you first get to your seats,
there will be a large chandelier blocking your view of center stage.
dont worry, right before the show starts,
    james bond style,
the chandelier will move out of your way.

The guy behind me at Boston 1 broke out a joint during Small Town. I smoked it with him and after we were done I said, wow, I didn't think that would fly in here. He said, "Oh, it flew. It flew like a fucking BIRD!"
*Does not include encore of Garden and Leash.

Nothing like bringing attention to yourselves. Hope there are know police whom are fans of PJ going to these shows that happen to read threads like this. What a self incriminating thread. I am so glad I haven't smoked in over 3 years. Not worth it. But have fun though.
