Personal cameras at the EV shows?

Are they allowed/not allowed generally, because at PJ shows its never a problem. Is this any different? I'll be at Chicago #2 and need to know whether to bother or not. I might even call the venue itself.

    not allowed on west coast tour. people still brought them. dont go overboard.
