Survivor's Guide If You Are Going To Boston Night 2 (and any Solo shows I Suppose)

Okay, here are my recommendations if you are going tonight:
1) Put a bottle of water in your back pocket before going in. I am deadly serious when I say this. They shut off all concessions when Ed goes on (usually all concessions are done by 9) and the lines when you first walk into the theatre are beyond preposterous. There is no rhyme and reason to the lines intertwining between the merchandise tables, the bar area for booze and the lines to cut through to get to your seats. It's kinda of a clusterfuck to be honest. By having that bottle of water in your pocket, come 10pm when you are parched, it will come in handy. I wouldn't put it in your front pocket cause security might notice, but it's not like they frisked at the doors. If you want to put a bottle of beer in your back pocket as well, it will save you cash and headaches in the line. But the water is a must. You'll thank me later.
2) Do NOT park across from the theatre. Too many people leaving the theatre congregate right in front of the lot and don't move. Save yourself aggrevation and park down by Tremont Street. You'll get out fine and the walk is nice.
3) Bathroom breaks - my advice is if you really have to pee, go after the first encore is done. You don't want to go after the finale (Hard Sun) because, even for guys, there is a line out the door. Also, duck when you are going and leaving the theatre because chances are you are blocking someone by standing around getting out of your seats. But time your breaks accordingly.
4) Get your tix ASAP. Again, there will be lines (not bad around 7ish but the earlier the better) so go to will call when you can.
5) Snacks. Same as water, just put a granola bar in your pocket to hold you over. I'm sure most will be dining before the show so will be full, but by 1030 you'll be hungry again no doubt from all the booze.
6) Where to go: We went to Rock Bottom and sat down right away around 630. No waits at all. Try the sampler of beers if you go! Don't forget the pre-party as well if you're attending Crazy Breed/Jecica's meet up. I was running late from work and could not attend.
7) Camera phones are allowed despite signs posted. I wouldn't take many pictures, but people were doing it all night and I never saw a vendor come over to complain.
8) Merch table. Um, do you like lines? If not, just buy your gear online. Even after the show there must have been over 100 people at the tables getting goods.
9) Don't show up at 830 to your seat. It sucks for people all around you as you stumble to your seat because Ed will be most likely on stage or about to and it sucks getting into a show with everyone standing and moving around for you to find your seat. Just get into your seat by 820.
10) Don't drink and drive! Be safe and have a good time.

you call this a survivor's guide?
hahaha. Hey, I was hoping this would get sticky'd!
why would you go to your seat at 8:20 if ed is not taking the stage til 8:45?
make sure you are in your seat by 8:45 and you are good to go.
People all around were showing up at 8:45-8:55 last night and people had to stand to let them in to their seats, blocking the people behind them. Not a big deal for the first 30 seconds when Ed starts because everyone stands when Ed takes the stage, but immediately they sit down. The point is not to get there at the last second because everyone is settled and want to watch the show and not want to get up and down get up and down get up and down to let people in.

good to know, thanks. Is there an exit down there too?
So do you make posts to give insight\help\witty sarcasm or to get stickies?
The former. I'm basing my experience last night on how to make tonight a little more easier. Don't really care about the stickies, but I do hope this thread helps people out tonight.
Thanks for the advice/info...
Cannot wait for the show tonight!
Here's the kicker: NO LINES FOR THE LADIES' ROOM AT ALL BUT THE LINE FOR THE MEN'S ROOM STRETCHED THE ENTIRE LOWER LOUNGE.
We were making fun of you in the ladies room guys
I would also mention: DON'T DRIVE AT ALL! It's right downtown for crying out loud! If you're coming from outside the city park by alewife or wonderland or whatever and T it. Also you're out before the last commuter rail out of north station.
this happens at every show at every venue. you're never going to avoid it. the people who do it will also INEVITABLY be carrying a beer in each hand.
HAVE SOME CONSIDERATION FOR THE ARTIST AND EVERYONE AROUND YOU AND SHUT THE FUCK UP DURING THE SONGS!!
enjoy.
