Working at a record store. Received a Ten promo. Once was the first song I heard (duh!) and the rest is history.

I know I was born and I know that I'll die. The in between is mine.

Alive on the radio. I can clearly remember saying WTF is this and knew this is the music I've been waiting for. It was 1992 and I was 20.

Even Flow in '92 was the first song I heard (on the radio). Admittedly, I thought it was good but didn't love it. However. it was Alive (heard for the first time a little later) that made me think the band was something special.

The Jeremy video on MTV in 7th grade band class. Was not a huge fan yet. Actually preferred RHCP because of Give It Away and Under the Bridge. Didn't really have any friends that were even big fans. It was either Nirvana, AIC or RHCP. And then of course there was the Megadeth vs. Metallica contingent.
    It's a hopeless situation...

It was '92 and I was 11 in 6th grade. Jeremy on the radio and MTV. I was already heavily into Nevermind and RHCP. I remember thinking it was a very different sound, but I quickly caught on and never looked back.

Was living in the Philippines at the time, must've been 8 or 9, and my older cousins came back from the US with Ten, Vs, Vitalogy and No Code cassettes along with other rock albums (tapes were still a thing in P.I. mid/late 90s). My parents were not really into loud noises and chewed-out my cousins for letting me listen to that "garbage", so my cousins would never let me borrow their cassettes. I was a sneaky little bastard, though and would always "borrow" their tapes without them knowing. At the time I just wanted to listen to PJ and know the words to be cool like my older cousins, but little did I know, those tapes molded my love for rock. A few years later, I was in a band with my cousins and my parents were my biggest fans. lol
