Now a major issue here is marijuana legalization, something i support, and repubs voted it down, so unless a Republican comes out as an advocate i dont see me voting for one locally in 2020... if a good moderate female came along, i could likely vote gop in that case

Because i'm focused on supporting and voting for female candidates... as well as minorities, non-christians, and lgbtq candidates... women are severely under represented in American politics and i will likely lean towards female candidates the rest of my life. The gender gap in elected officials is ridiculous and needs to be addressed. This past election i voted for all female candidates, if the race didnt have a female on the ballot i didn't vote in that race

No, im fine with it, investigate away... i'm just not acting/assuming that these investigations are going to accomplish the toppling of the Trump regime. Hillary was investigated forever, nothing. Steroids, nothing. They found Bill Clinton was fucking a 22 year old intern in the White House and it didn't topple his administration.

I'm very much like you. The "THE FIELD" next to my name indicates that; I've never thought impeachment was likely. I still don't. I don't think whatever comes out of the investigation will matter. The haters already hate, the lovers will love unconditionally, and the indifferent will remain indifferent. Like you, I think the left under-estimates Trump's popularity. I also think the left over-estimates the ability American People, the GOP, and the media to put the good of the country over the good of a party and of a madman who has captured nearly half the country for reasons they don't even recall.
I am negative. I am cynical. I believe it's realistic that we could be in year 2 of 30 (Don, Don Jr, Ivanka, Eric each with two terms).
And, my god, you're bringing me down. That's saying a lot.
There are older posts by me expressing frustration at the left "waiting for the impeachment fairy." Anecdotally, there are people who have been on the edge of their seats since inauguration day, expecting America to come to its senses and somehow get them out of there. I speak from experience, so trust me on this: you'll feel much better if you don't worry about them. They'll probably be disappointed by the outcome. So be it. For my part, I just try to enjoy life and not get too on-edge about the day-to-day because I know whatever happens remains a long way off. Let the optimistic "he's going down" crowd be optimistic. Doesn't impact you. Once I stopped worrying about them, this whole thing became much more manageable.
