Free Rolling Stone Subscription

an interesting thing happened the other day, I got a copy of Rolling Stone in the mail (the one w/ the article about PJ @ VH1 Rock Honors show). I thought it was one of those deals that someone signed me up and I get like 3 free issues, and they bill me for the rest.
Out of curiosity I checked on their website to see what the deal was, and it said I've got a paid subscription thru 2009, so now my curiosity is way up, and I emailed the subscription dept. because now I'm thinking somehow my CC # was stolen, and I got charged for something I didn't know about (usually when that happens the item goes to someone else, but hey, crooks aren't known to be too smart). I got a reply today saying it was a paid subscription that was included in some special event tickets I bought. The only thing I can think that would qualify was the pair of tix to EV (non-10c) I bought around the time they said the order was placed.
Anyone else see this?
