I gave Eddie a "dog tag" necklace with a pic of his daughter on it after last nights show (DC 2), and was wondering if anyone with a good view of him or if anyone who meets him at the Milwaukee show can let me know if they happen to see him wearing it! I actually tried giving it directly to him but his security guard nabbed it and gave it to him in the van. I also gave him some pics of Trestles State Beach in Cali from my recent trip there, since he is advocate for saving that beach.

Thanks to any who help! Ya'll are in for a real treat, amazing, amazing show!
I hope it goes beautifully, and there aren't a bunch of dumb asses yelling during the show.

And a huge *high five* to whoever came up with the idea for the fundraiser to benefit the animals, that's a fan after my heart!!!

Have a marvelous evening everbody!!!

Anyone else find giving Ed a dog tag with a pic of his daughter on it slightly creepy?!

very creepy. I thinks its creepy to have a picture of Ed's daughter in the first place.

I don't like to be called creepy. I was told by a guy with 3000 posts on a pj board that I was creepy for waiting after a show to meet Ed.

I think making things for Ed and such are fine. However. I can't help but think he may be slightly unsettled by it. I'm sure your not crazy or anything at all.

Curious? Where did you get the picture of his daughter?

not 'slightly'.. its about as creepy as getting a tattoo of Thom Yorke's face right on top of your own face and then hiding in Thom Yorke's bedroom and then when he comes home, grabbing him and gluing him to the ceiling and then writing out the lyrics to the song Creep in your own tears whilst wailing inconsolably to yourself about the price of wheat in Uganda...
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

I think this might be little creppier.

creepy is exactly the word that came to mind, and I certainly would expect that EV (or any other public figure) would be creeped out by it.

  • The picture was just some picture I found online. It's not like he hasn't recieved gifts before. I've met plenty of fans while in line before shows who have done creepier shit--like finding out where Ed lives and taking a picture, following him from a venue to his hotel to get an autograph, going to multiple shows and waiting for Ed/Pearl Jam after every show to the point where they know your name. I didn't even know he had a daughter until I heard it while standing in line before a show in 2006, the guy was complaining of seeing his daughter and girlfriend at all the shows and sick of eddie paying attention to them during shows.I don't keep up with the latest on their personal lives, I couldn't even tell you who's single or married in the band. My father recently passed away, and I made a necklace for myself with his picture to keep on me because I miss him so much. Just thought Ed would like one of his daughter since he probably misses her when he's touring. Not a big deal. It had to be either the "dog tag shape" or a large heart shape. Went with the dog tag shape. It wasn't gift wrapped or anything. So if I creeped you out Ed, I'm sorry.
