My wife decided she had to go about two months ago, well after good flights and tix were gone. Got 2 in the 100 level and two in the 100 level for Wilco at their tix release. Pretty happy.
I am pretty sure the obstructed views in those lower level seats...sec 118-121 are due to the net behind home plate..
NOT POLES
Correct?
This is a pic from Phish at Wrigley earlier this year ... looks to me like a couple camera poles in the infield and the soundboard in the way of the really low rows ... but i don't think the net is up ... can't really tell
The "foul tip" net is literally against the 1st seats behind home plates. I would be really surprised if they don't take it down, because people will mess with it and they probably don't want to have to replace it. I know an earlier poster said he had to view through the net in 2013, but I think they've added a few rows of seats since that time.
A few things: the net will be there. You'd literally need garden shears to mess it up. As for poles, everything in the double digits, 100 and 400 sections are 100% free of poles. The 200's, poles are in row 6 in most sections, but not lower. Further down the lines, i.e. In 201-205 and 235-242, the poles are in higher rows. As for the 500's, poles are row 1, and are hit and miss. I worked at Wrigley, so if there's other questions, I should be able to help. Can't wait to get there Saturday.

Some of the lower level obstructions at Fenway were due to the placement of the soundboard. I was kinda surprised when we walked by but many of the expensive home plate area seats for a ballgame were obstructed for Pearl Jam.
The net does not obstruct your view. It's barely noticeable.
That's a pretty good deal. I wonder how the food is. So how early can you get inside to start getting your money's worth? Do they keep serving until the final song? If I hadn't just pulled tickets for Saturday, I might have gone with the rooftop option.
If obstructed view is all that I am going to get...I might as well keep my Wrigley Rooftop tickets!
yeah I gave back 2 sets of tickets in favor of going after rooftop tickets myself...if im going to be obstructed I might as well have all you can eat and drink to go along with it
Maybe I will see you up there...which one will you be at?
With the positioning of the new video boards, rooftops on Waveland are a better bet than Sheffield, view wise. If you care more about sound quality, the obstructed seats in the 100's will be markedly better than rooftops, as the sound is not directed toward them at all.
It will never cease to amaze me how many of you people won't take 30 seconds to read before asking the same question over and over. Have fun behind poles.

The net will protect you from Chinese star like pick flicks coming from McCready
Some friends did rooftops in '13 and couldn't hear shit.
I have a hard time believing that, but got to take their word for it since they have actually done it....bummer if that's the case but ill try and drown my sorrows in all I can drink beverages if that's the route I take

Most of these people are asking about section 100's. Your avatar pic is clearly in the 200's. Pretty good chance they won't have poles.

It was bad enough that they left before the delay. It just sounded muffled.
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.

Wrigley View Rooftop
That is the one that I will be at as well. I have heard conflicting reports of both great sound and bad sound. So far, I have heard more positive though, so that is good. The view from this one at least seems pretty good.

That's my picture from Phish. A little hard to see, but it's there.
e: Actually really hard to see, but you can tell where the color changes towards first/third base.
Here to die.
Scared alive.
