Was my first Pearl Jam show. As a fan from the beginning, finally being able to get to a show and experience all I had been listening to on albums and bootlegs since I was a kid was a borderline mythical experience. One of the best versions of Release that I have heard or seen. The crowd was incredibly loud and even got sing along parts during Crazy Mary. It was an excellent set list with some nice Bob Dylan covers on his birthday.

On a side note, I was listening to a local radio station today who does "two for Tuesdays." First song was Alive, but then the second song was a version of Masters of War from 1993. It was live and was just Eddie and Mike. There was someone playing a mandolin as well and it was a live recording. Good sound quality and Eddie's voice sounded phenomenal. DJ said it was from some sort of Bob Dylan celebration that year. Anyone know more about this? Anyway. . .that song made me think of this today and I guess this is my way of celebrating a lifetime of Pearl Jam and 10 years of shows. Here's to 10 more years. . .

That's a great looking setlist for sure. The Master Of War was from a Bob Dylan tribute show in 1992. That's G.E. Smith from SNL on the mandolin.

Agreed! That Release might be one of best versions I've seen/heard as well. The boot captures the crowd really well too. Wow, 10 years

Thank you for this!! So fucking good!!! Glad everyone else has good memories and things to say about this show.

Kind of feels like my first kid. Many shows after this one but this will always be my first. And as is mentioned. . . if you haven't heard this version of Release it's worth listening to!!

I remember this!! The second show was added somewhat last minute and I was in the process of closing on a house at the time. Found out the morning of Night 2 that it wasn't happening that day so I immediately started to scheme. I had brought a friend to the show with me that had to get home though and just couldn't justify sending him back to Maine by himself, so we came back. Still kick myself a little for that. . .

JESUS that video is good!!!! Eddie just fuckin wails on it. All with that indignant, "I don't give a shit" look he always had on his face in the 90's. Also realized the announcer refers to him as Eddie Nedder. hahahaha
