Can we camp in Town Park Thursday night? I was under the impression that it opened up Friday morning

Can I camp at the campground prior to the start of the festival? Yes! Camping at Telluride Town Park is on a first-come, first-served basis prior to the start of the festival. Campers may arrive early and pay per day according to Town Park Camping Guidelines.
There's only about 33 sites and some of them are RV so I don't know how early people will be arriving or how strict they will be with rules. We've scouted out a few places outside of town in jsut in case.

During non-festival times it is 33 regular campsites. During the festival there are no sites, you just put your tent wherever there is an open space.
There are a lot of shade trees in town park but don't expect a very private camping experience. Like boxer or the bag said, you put your tent in any open area available. It was more of a communal atmosphere when I was there. Just search images for town park camping and you'll get the gist. So much fun...I can't wait!!!

So when is everyone arriving? It think it would be fun to get a group of us all camping together in the same spot in Town Park. I'm thinkng about heading down on Thursday am.
Three of us are getting into Denver 7:30 AM on Thursday and driving to T-ride. Hope to be there by 4 or so. We hope to be able to camp in Town Park Thursday night but it depends if they relax the rules on capacity. But it would be great to have a PJ "compound".
I am coming down from Steamboat Springs thurs am too. Hoping to camp thurs night as well but the lady from the campground has said it might be full that night. PM me if you'd like and we can arrange to meet up. I can bring extra chairs, camping stuff since I live here and don't have to fly it all. It would be cool to have a central 10C spot! Maybe we'll get lucky for thursday night!

Getting in Friday morning. Looks like there's a lot of music Friday night. And plenty of stuff to do in telluride during the day. People don't realize how incredible this will be.

I think Honeyhoney is pretty cool, they are at the Opera House though. I may have a couple of discounted GA tix if anyone is interested.
Not sure about you but I cannot believe this show is 10 days away, seems like there is barely any talk of it. So looking forward to this experience. Look forward to hanging out with you all!

the sheepdogs for free mountain village on friday is a MUST
No way! Like main festival stage? They are the only other band I sort of know. Would definitely see them twice in a weekend.
sheepsdogs not in town. take the free gondola up to mountain village. they will have a stage set up there for this show only. then as far as i know all the other music is back down the gondola in telluride. nothing more in mountain village for the whole weekend. the sheepdogs bring it!
Have an extra town park camping pass if anyone is interested...just PM and let me know. Looks like single day passes might be available. I looked on the site earlier today and there were some for sale but just looked again and they have taken them off?!?! Interesting...

ANYONE UP FOR AN INFORMAL MEET UP? How about Friday night at 7:30 at Oak? It is a BBQ and beer place right at the bottom of the gondola. That way if you go to the free concert on the Mtn, you can come to the Meet Up right after and then go to the Nightride shows. Address is 250 San Juan Avenue but it is directly in the plaza at the bottom of the gondola.

Probably a good call but I have to figure come 8:00 all these places will be pretty rammed.
