Ticketmaster owns Stub Hub... and a good number of tickets go there first at an increased rate instead of being sold to the fans. It's a racket.0

In addition, legit season ticket holders have access to their own presales. In most cases, the venues can either guarantee their same seats or similar ones.Presidential Advice from President-Elect Mike McCready: "Are you getting something out of this all encompassing trip?"0

A friend of mine wanted to go to the Greenville show. So the day the tour was announced his girlfriend went on Google and searched for tickets and found a website selling them already. She paid almost $400 for 2 tickets that are probably going to be in the nose bleed section. I had no clue this happened until he told me about it.0

This is how they do it...cause people buy into it..Totally sux but you have to be smarter and not pay $200 for a pearl jam ticketsvenhoek said:A friend of mine wanted to go to the Greenville show. Gonna try for MSG 1 tomorrow, but I already know what the result will be. I'll just keep an eye out on stubhub over the next few months and hope a reasonable deal slips in at some point.0

I tried reading the AG's report but I'm too sleepy. None of it is surprising or news or frankly likely to admit to anything. But we can hold out hope.
Actually thinking about it a little further I wonder if the results might not make things even worse for average Joes like us. I dunno about you guys, but what seems to be pretty typical strategy among desperate ticket seekers like me is to get on to TM at exactly ticket drop time on multiple devices. Laptop, desktop, mobile phone. The result of which is TM sees multiple connections from the same IP trying to get in and throws out extra "security measures" (those fuckin pictures of street signs and rivers) which delay your ticket search by several precious seconds. As far as I can figure, that actually helps the brokers who are using illegal bot software which bypasses these security measures that are supposed to be preventing scalping.
It got to a point today (I was trying to buy tickets for modest mouse at MSG for a friend) where I actually had to go through TWO rounds of "find the street signs" because TM was getting so many hits off me it figured I was a bot. And this is just me sitting in my apartment getting to get two tickets!
Ugh. Anyone know where I can get some bot software? Seems like the only way I'll get MSG tickets tomorrow.Post edited by ldent42 onNYC 06/24/08-Auckland 11/27/09-Chch 11/29/09-Newark 05/18/10-Atlanta 09/22/12-Chicago 07/19/13-Brooklyn 10/18/13 & 10/19/13-Hartford 10/25/13-Baltimore 10/27/13-Auckland 1/17/14-GC 1/19/14-Melbourne 1/24/14-Sydney 1/26/14-Amsterdam 6/16/14 & 6/17/14-Milan 6/20/14-Berlin 6/26/14-Leeds 7/8/14-Milton Keynes 7/11/14-St. Louis 10/3/14-NYC 9/26/15
