Senior Members Can You Please Stop The Whining?

I bet most of the people who got shut out had MSG and Philly GA's with their top 4 picks and then other GA's as well. Yeah you have the right to be upset if you didn't land anything, but if you aligned your choices in a manner that was extremely risky (to the point of not even being practical/possible) then you should revise your allocation strategy instead of lashing out about seniority.JamIsGood said:Just curious...were the people who are complaining shut out for just the large market shows (i.e. NYC, Philly, Toronto, etc.) or both large and small market shows?

as a part of that younger generation (turning 16 in a couple of days) I can say that I have a lot of friends who like Pearl Jam (none of them as much as me though). I don't think people give us enough credit, I think people only hear bad things about us and really nothing positive about us.BettrMan21 said:Pearl Jam clearly isn't as popular among the younger generation.

This isn't a job. LOL!StevieG said:When you start a new job do you start at the highest pay rate? No. Do you start at the maximum vacation time? No. Do you have to work weekends because you're the low man/woman on the totem pole? Yes.
This is how seniority works in the real world and should work in the 10 Club. End of story.0 -
It has never worked that way even before the lottery. The "longest tenured members" get the best seats out of the people that won reserved seats through the lottery.StevieG said:When you start a new job do you start at the highest pay rate? This is how seniority works in the real world and should work in the 10 Club. I'm not saying I deserve tickets more than anyone else or that I'm a bigger fan, I'm saying that the lottery should be weighted in favour of the longest tenured members. End of story.0 -
I didn't get a dang thing and I've been a member since '98.
Maybe it would have helped if I entered for some shows.
But still, I'm a senior and demand respect!0 -
Thank you! Considering that the so-called 'senior members' are ages 40, 50 and above - this crybaby post is pretty hilarious. Would you walk into your job and tell the people that are old enough to be your parent that you should be making their salary?Bentleyspop said:I've been a member for more than 20 years and I want all you f'ing kids to GET OFF MY DAMN LAWN

I was getting ready to be a cranky old git and your GET OFF MY DAMN LAWN gave me the chuckle I needed to catch my breath, thanks for that.
NOW BACK TO YOU WHINY KIDS!!!when he's happy he looks insane

This seniority entitlement thinking shit has to end.
Find another way into the building.
You are in line outside.
The members who joined in the '90s and early 2000s are already inside.
Do you wait in line like everyone else or do you "Find another way into the building." ?when he's happy he looks insane

Fully aware of how it always worked, thanks. I'm just offering my opinion on how I think it should work. No one has to agree or disagree, I don't really give a fuck. Just offering my opinion.Abe Froman said:

So someone who loves PJ but is maybe around 20yrs old should have less of a chance at 10c tickets than me just because I joined when they were 5yrs old?StevieG said:

If you don't deserve tickets more than anyone else then why should the lottery be weighted in your favor? You absolutely are saying that you deserve tickets more than anyone else.StevieG said:When you start a new job do you start at the highest pay rate? No. Do you start at the maximum vacation time?
