this would be welcome news for me. i've been to 9 roos, and 29 pearl jam shows. i'm assuming i won't make the spring tour. so roo '16 would be my 10th roo and 30th pearl jam show. that would be a wonderful coincidence and i hope it happens.

I hope this doesn't mean they are playing Swamp Fest in Florida instead of the 4 rumored shows. I think Swamp Fest are the same promoters as Bonnaroo. By Swamp Fest I mean Okeechobee fest.

Such wonderful news. Saw them in 2008 there. 2009 has been the last time since I've been, and just happened to buy tickets with the wife for the first time in 7 years. Couldn't have asked for better timing!

Have any of you been to Bonnaroo? It is perhaps my favorite place. So many diverse music acts. Much better vibe than any other festival. And Pearl Jam can play as long as they want to (no curfew, and headliners can play as long as they want). I already have my Roo tickets, so this news just sent me over the edge with excitement!

    This Guy Gets Me!!!

PJ was the reason i started going to Bonnaroo, and i haven't missed one since then. I've been waiting for them to return since. It's my favorite weekend of the year, an adult disney world. Come join the party!
2013 was my first Roo, and was by far my favorite festival out of the many I have been to. I was already going to go this year if the lineup was good, but I will definitely be going back if PJ is headlining. :joy:
I have been there 5 out of the last 6 years (missed 2012). I am not sure when you guys get in, I usually get there Wednesday night. If you get there that night, go to Groop Camping after dark, and come visit SooperGroop (you won't be able to miss us with our huge ass circus tent). We usually have a welcome to Roo DJ'd dance party that night.
Sounds awesome! I will see you there! :sunglasses:

NOT HAPPY. As someone who live in Nashville, I want to see a proper show. Not a fan of the 'Roo. Maybe back in the day, but I'm over it now. I'd much rather get a full PJ show at the Bridge. Oh well, I guess it's travel time in the spring to Lexington or Atlanta.

What in the what, bridge is not a full show 45 minutes to an hour at best and they played 3 hours at bonnaroo 2008......
He's talking about Bridgestone Arena in Nashville...
not the Bridge School Benefit show.
Ahhh.....that makes a lot more sense.

That is ridiculously cool! How do you get into the super groop? Would there be interest in doing a PJ Groop?

Very tempting. Would only consider going if PJ plays. Had so much fun seeing them there in '08 that we returned for '09 and '10. Not sure if I'm up for the summer TN heat tho :pensive: :i_dunno:
Excited to see how the lineup plays out.....

Well if you get a ticket to Bonnaroo, you can buy a groop camping pass ($40). We have designated space. We give out the code to use for our group when the passes are available (usually Feb or March...these go on sale after tickets). If interested PM me and I can add you to our Facebook group so you can have a peek. We are gonna try and go bigger this year.

If you wanted to get a PJ group together of people from these message boards, then I can give you the info on how to go about that as well. Group camping is so much better than GA. Closer to the music. More space. Camp with cool people instead of totally being luck of the draw.

Can you explain the Groop camping to me some more? What are you giving up in order for them to let you camp closer to Great Stage Park?

The year I went there was an individual who qualified for the handicap area, which was super close, and def helped with catching sets and returning to home base.

I have a friend that runs a vip tent, if this is true, I will be working for him selling beer in the tent so I watch PJ that night.
