I would pay money to hear Gus Johnson yell "he just got Poeltl'd!"

Such a shame he doesn't do basketball play-by-play anymore.

    he doesn't? damn.

    rafferty is pretty good. "onions!"
    JK_Livin said:

Pretty sure I heard him doing games last weekend.

Nope. He hasn't done NCAAT games for a few years because of a contract dispute with CBS. He was hired by Fox, but not sure if he's still there.

Not that big a fan of Raftery though. Seems like he's trying too hard to be Dick Vitale. I'd like him more if he quit with the shtick.

JK, you wouldn't have heard him on any tournaments broadcast by ESPN or CBS. I think he did some games for the Big 10 network, so he might have done some of that tournament.
Yes, Gus Johnson is at Fox. He announced Big East games, that were mostly on Fox-1. He did the Big East Tourney this year.

That's not shtick with Raf. He's always been like that, and he likes to party>LOL

I'm going to the second round at Barclays center. My first march madness games ever.

Cheer for Iowa if they survive Temple!

I'm going to the first and second rounds in Des Moines tomorrow and Saturday. My first March madness games too. (other than seeing Iowa beat Iowa State in the NIT about 13 years ago) Should be a good time.

I'm hoping my Hawkeyes can beat Temple and then I think they can play Villanova tough in the second round.

    Let the madness begin!!!

SVRDhand13>you will enjoy the games. I've been lucky enough to go to some first/2nd round games, and they were fun(remember Dunk City? Florida Gulf Coast? the year they made it to the sweet 16? I was at those games when they beat G-Town & San Diego State. Seats were under one of the baskets for a great view of ther dunks). Just a great atmosphere.

Sorry Jeff2040 but i want Temple to win as i'm a Big 5 fan. But, if Iowa wins they can give 'Nova a hard time, and Temple might too since ther City rivals.

My friend was able to score tickets for the East Regionals (like he did for some other times i went when the first/2nd round were in Philly). My friend is a high school scout from near the Philly area and knows a lot of coaches/assistant coaches that can get him tickets.

conflicted about the MSU loss.....always great to see david topple goliath but I like Izzo and this also opens the door for syacuse  . to me, MSU is always one of the more likable heavyweights.

the other upstes were most excellent.

I was watching the UNI/Texas game with my wife and a friend who both went to UNI so that shot caused quite a celebration! I picked UNI so I was happy that shot went in too.

Vitale doesn't do NCAA Tournament games. ESPN doesn't allow him to do NCAA Tournament games. He still does regular season games though.

That's because ESPN doesn't broadcast the NCAA Tournament.

CBS requested that they be allowed to use Vitale. ESPN said no.

In the past, ESPN has loaned announcers for the tournament (Jay Bilas comes to mind from a few years ago), but they've always said no for Vitale.

I did not know that. I wonder why ESPN does that?

NIU was one of the biggest choke jobs in history. If Washpun just chucks the ball into the air, they probaly win.

all timer. 12 point lead with like 40 seconds. 2x they threw the ball right to A&M for layups and one time threw the ball right out of bounds. just insane.

some incredible finishes these first 4 days. so much fun.
