She doesn't get it at all, thinks im a moron, and has raised her eyebrows so many times I think they found a new place to rest.....its been a conflict point for some time - which isn't helped by her not liking the music the slightest bit.
We have managed to live by that mantra of 'each to their own'.......to varying degrees of success.
Id like to say I clearly wear the trousers but that would be a pretty blatant lie0 -
After seeing that collection I feel there is a million questions to ask you. I hope you wouldn't mind answering a few.pdalowsky said:

As crazy as it sounds, I don't think his "entire" collection is posted! Some of the studio releases are from other countries which can be quite rare and very cool to own.TroubledSoul said:at least i know i have something that paul doesn't have. as for the 5673 item he has that i don't, well that evens it out yeh?

Yeh I know. Super commitment on his part. I've a 95 Australia /Asia tour itinerary book. Also some other 1 of a kind stuff from that tour.wwsuicide said:

Some of this new shit I didn't know existed, but I'll be honest I haven't followed closely for about 3 years now.

Regarding the Missing Link posters, these were definitely sold after the shows. I'm sure it's documented in other threads here but they were offered to 10c members via email in 2001. They were either limited to one per person per show, or just one per person. Either way I could only afford one so I chose the Chicago. I have the original email and the packaging slip with the poster -- I'll try to get some images up if I can dig them out. I believe they were $20 plus shipping.

I have one of these. Still haven't taken it out of the poster tube which was pretty huge and difficult to fly home with. Didn't everyone get one of these or was it only for those who purchased a travel package?Lost In Ohio said:Wait a minute....did not someone "obtain" one of those REALLY BIG OVERSIZE HUGE GINORMOUS PJ 20 posters? I've always assumed the Blue VS. or Reeenk Roink were the most expensive PJ collected items. In my own collection Benaroya would be the most expensive thing I have. Followed by my three '98 posters (Seattle, Vancouver, Missoula) followed by the rest of my PJ Vinyl (of which I have a copy of every album.. some which now seem to be expensive).
That guy puts my collection to shame. I have all original pressings of all the albums included lo2l, lost dogs, rearviewmirror, mirrorball etc..., 20ish posters from the shows I've been going all the way back '98. All the CD's, about 25 or 30 official boots, 10 bootleg silver cd's, all the singles (on cd and 7" vinyl.. even a 10" of go). Stuff like Vault #1, Dissident 3 pack, Atlanta '94 promo cd's....
I don't really have any duplicates though.. hence why it's hard to trade. That guys collection is insanely massive. My wife doesn't give me a hard time about buying something rare, but my own limits seem to keep me in cheque.
I would like to get an original Soldier Field Promo Vinyl one day. I have a bootleg of that one. It sort of makes my vinyl collection feel incomplete (even though it's not a band release, it's also not a bootleg...)0 -
I was talking with a fellow PJ friend today and he said that the gigantic poster was just a travel package thing.BS44325 said:

1. 1997 - I had the albums and silver pressed bootlegs etc but consciously started collecting on being given a GTF radio promo cd by a rock DJ at a nightclub, first 10 in got the promo.
2. Ive been a member several times, lost my way around my university days, and since there has been an easy way of paying online ive probably been valid for the last ten years or so. If there was seating at shows here in the Uk im damn sure I would never have let it lapse, but fact is the seniority thing for us wasn't useful at all
3. sadly not, but have developed solid connections over the years
4. my favourite item is the basketball hoop and mini BBalls set, probably closely followed by the monkeywrench radio german promo
5. I do me very best to forget the prices!!!!0 -
Apparently the East Troy/Chicago 98 poster is the correct answer. It's up to 885 bucks and the auction isn't even over. ..
