And for you vinyl junkies, select shows will be released on limited edition 180-gram vinyl early next year. And once again, we here at your friendly Metallica HQ want your input as to which shows you would like to see on vinyl... YOU choose from the 27 shows we've played this year by voting for your favs here. We'll take the top four that receive the most votes and press them up for you to order in early 2015. Voting will close on September 26.

Don't know why they need to press 4 shows, their so called joke of a "By Request" tour pretty much had the same setlist every night! That's exactly why I buy all Pearl Jam bootlegs and not Metallica's

Honest question. Internationally, is Metallica more popular than pj? I thought I read recently that Metallica's fan base is bigger outside of the US these days and I ask because, if they are more popular, perhaps this is more economical for them to do. I supposed with preorders there's no reason pearl jam should lose money, but it would be nice if they try this as well. They know some fans want it, but I wonder if it's as many as they would prefer to make $$. Personally, I have passed on the last few vinyls, and I wonder if a growing number of fans have done the similar.
words seem so out of place.

Just imagine if Pearl Jam did that. A "by request" tour.
Last Kiss will be requested the most for every show. Guaranteed!

Ya I agree. It's a really cool idea for a band like PJ who mixes up their set list every night, but a pointless idea for the bands that play the same set every night. Just do one live record at the end of the tour.

Metallica is a fun show to be at but the live playback not so much.

Yes! My very first Pearl Jam show
I was alone and far away when I heard the band start playing!

...I was always a DeadHead, but when I first heard Winston Rodney, aka the Burning Spear, sing, I became a SpearHead too!
