Do you think Milton Keynes has sold well?

I heard a little while ago that the Milton Keynes tickets haven't sold great. Since then I've seen nothing but constant adverts for travel packages for the show and news about who is supporting while other shows don't get anywhere near as much coverage. It sounds to me like the show perhaps hasn't sold very well.

That would suck, considering it's probably the biggest non-festival show the band has booked apart from Chicago last year. I'd have thought after the turn out at Hyde Park/only one far more nothern show that it would at least sell decently.

Hasn't sold well apparently. I think they have really misjudged this gig. For them to get 50-60 thousand to pay 70 quid then they needed decent support bands. BRMC and off! aren't going to bring in the casual fans. They should have just done 2 nights at the 02.

I don't know what Hyde Park's capacity was but I do know there were plenty of spare tix on the day. No idea if it was a sell out.

Hyde Park- at the front end of the tour, only mainland UK date in one of the biggest cities in the world.

MK last date of longer tour in a non-descript bowl in the middle of nowhere.

Also,if I was coming in from overseas on a budget being able to catch 4/5 shows there's Amsterdam,Berlin,Milan,Stockholm,Oslo,Vienna I visit any day before Leeds/MK.

I live in the UK and still not 100% sure I'll go unless I find a lift.

I thought if not a sellout, would be close. Is it 70 GBP? My aunt lives in Luton and that's by MK so isn't that about an hour from London? That's pretty pricey without a top tier opener (KOL or Incubus or Linkin Park size act, for 80 euros in 07 we got KOL Incubus and Perry Farell's awful side act of the time). As a diehard flying from America, better value for seeing the shows on the mainland personally. The two festival dates between Scandinavia does not help attracting MK shows for those coming outside of Europe and hoping to catch a couple of tother shows. Just checked airfare, that could also kill the American market.

The £70 tickets are a real shame. This would be the perfect opportunity to invite my friends to come and see why I rave about the band so much but at that price it won't happen.

If not a sell-out, I still think it will sell OK: The closer we get and the better the weather gets, will make more people go I´m sure. It´s the last show of the tour so it could be special. I don´t know. I´m just happy I wil be going!

Where do you find info on how well a show is selling? Or are we guessing here?

We're guessing, though a member with a friend at ticketmaster said it hadn't sold well a few months ago.

Gotta admit I was expecting better, bigger support acts. Price is pretty high but at least this way if you want to see them then you can get a ticket

Honestly couldn't care if it sells out or not. I'm going and it's going to be a great end of tour of show. That's all that matters for me!

    Hyde Park was packed.

Did you see it for Soundgarden in 2012? It was embarrassingly empty.
  • I think Hyde Park was cut from around 55000 to 35000 due to complaints from the posh people who live around there and the noise levels were also cut. I went to both the last PJ show there and Soundgarden . I was told on the day only around 15000 tickets had been sold. Saying that despite the pissing rain , overpriced food & drinks , I thought the show was fucking awesome and I had a blast. The PJ show had lots of posers and bandwagoners and you couldn't get with 50 yards of the stage and end up watching the screens. SG you could see the all the action and everyone around us was fucking stoked and the band were too fucking much. So give me a half full place with proper fans then a full one with a load a half hearted people waiting to be amused any day. Every time I've been to MKB I've a had fucking blast , I know we'll be 3 hours getting out the car park and we'll get home Sunday morning but it'll be great and that'll be it for another 3 or years so make he most of it , trust me I'm a Dr
