Agreed. It's my favorite album of all time, but taking the time to devour it with a pair of quality headphones is like being part of a musical masterpiece. To hear every subtle tone and sound (this album is full of them) is ear candy. Mix that in with PJ really first exploring the boundaries of their true musical creativity, superb lyrics, and impeccable track flow - you're in for a GREAT ride.

It really is my friend - little intricate nuances are laced throughout this album and it's a thing of pure beauty with a pair of quality headphones. The slower tracks like Sometimes, Who You Are, Smile, Off He Goes, and Around The Bend absolutely blow your mind. It's also my favorite era in terms of Ed's voice progression and his sound/tone.

Yes to everything. Only makes me even more excited for pono... Can't wait!

And No Code is nearly perfect with only one glaring flaw; the blemish that is Mankind. Kills me every time. Easily the worst pre-Backspacer album track.

I'm confused - did we switch to Binaural? If so now that's an album worth discussing it's excellence! :D

Just joshing! Seriously LOVE all the albums!

I was shuffling the shit out of the ipod, so whenever Yield and Binaural came up I listened as well.

No Code has always been my favorite PJ album since it came out, don't know if it will ever change. I love Matt, but damn I miss Jack......can we have 2 drummers? Hell I loved Dave too, why not have 3....

the amount of talking in the tracks is pretty fucking wild too.

Ear bud people, sorry I don't know that you are going to get the same experience as over ear stuff. I never heard any of this shit with just my ipod and my buds. I needed a quality DAC dock and headphone that cost in the 150 and up range.

    WORTH EVERY FUCKING CENT

this is also why we have the vinyl fanatics we do, this is what we have been hearing the whole time, or missin g the whole time.

still laughing at that damn trumpet or trombone in All those yesterdays

I need to start thinking about getting some good headphones myself, for my stereo system/turntable. Question: I would like to get the cord for them very long. Does the length of the cord and/or using extentions affect sound quality with headphones?

I couldn't agree with you more!!!
Sennheiser has long been a trusted name in video and audio production.
As a Director of Photography for a local TV Station, I use headphones EVERYDAY to monitor the audio I'm recording.
Having a good quality pair of headphones makes all the difference!!
The "weakest link" in a pair of headphones is the cable you use to connect to the device you are monitoring, be it a receiver, iPod, or in my case a video camera.
Makers of high end headphones know this and they make it EASY to replace this cable on their high end models!
