I don't follow the boards daily so be kind...I know ticket says no cameras but I assume this day and age that small point and shoots are ok. I see lots of pics posted and not phone pics either. I'm not driving so I want to make sure I'm not turned away at the door. Venue says its up to artist. Let me know what you all's experiences have been. Thanks!!

    I wouldn't say it has changed plenty of vid up on line...from what I have seen they look for the attachable lense Nikon type what they call pro or hd looking. If you got typical 7 megapixel birthday cam youre fine , I didn't see them this year though friggin wish I did but I've never had an issue. Most plces with store your camera till after show that's what happened to my buddy in Toronto he passed his ticket after no issues...I'd say take it in if its a typical camera.
    This band is not going to get all arcade fire on us!! Roger waters first run of the wall...I filmed it all at the ACC on decent digital cam, I am convinced all the awesome video on youtube helped sell it out more and more...the boys just want the moneygrabbers kept at bay. We fans r golden with them still no doubt!!! cheers

    I haven't been to my show yet (going Tuesday!), but here's what PJ says:

    http://pearljam.com/tenclub/tickets

    CAMERA POLICY FOR CONCERT ATTENDEES
    * Small, handheld cameras welcome.
    * No flash in the first 20 rows.
    * No detachable lenses.
    * No professional still or recording cameras.
    * No sticks.
    * No video cameras.

    I am curious about what is deemed small, as one of my point and shoots looks like a small SLR (no removable lens), but I'll probably not chance it and bring a smaller point and shoot.

    (By the way, what is a "stick?").

    Point and shoot cameras are ok. No cameras with detachable lenses. On rail in Phoenix the security guard said no video recording that close per Ed's/ band request. I took bunch of pics I posted in this forum. I didn't take video being close enough for band (Ed) not to notice recording. If you're past 3-4 row to rail, you're prob fine recording clips on your camera. I have Sony with 20x optical zoom easily fits in cargo pocket. No flash that close, but use high ISO setting with blur reduction.

    A Canon or Nikon DSLR that obviously has the ability to change lenses isn't going to get past security. That means your pro-sumer 14megapixel Rebel or Nikon D5100, or your Pro level Nikon D3 with a 70-200 2.8 or EOS 1DX and 400 2.8, isn't something you're strolling in with , unless, of course, you're Randy Johnson...yawn. If your camera is big, you're looking for issues.

    Smaller point and shoots are fine, and if you know what you're doing, you can get pretty good results with them. The ability to have manual control of the exposure is helpful, because the lighting's pretty tricky.
