It would have been much better in a smaller venue. The idiot fans ruin it. How many times do you assholes need to get up for beer or whatever the fuck you do 14 times during the show? Stay home jerks. EDDIE DOESN'T CARE WHAT YOUR SCREAMING. HE WONT PLAY YOU A SONG IF YOU YELL IT OUT AFTER EVERY SONG. The set is written out backstage. This show did it for me I think.....I'm spent on PJ for a while. I expect exactly the same thing tomorrow night.....setlist included. And if Ed gave a shit about the fans, why does he do the show on a Monday night at 9pm? We are all not millionaires that live in Hawaii. We have jobs dude. Most of us anyway. To much to ask for shows on Friday or Saturday night? I guess so. Whatever is convenient for you Ed. I dont know.... this tour has left a sour taste in my mouth. END RANT.

Sorry you feel this way. I'm sure it's exactly the opposite of what Eddie was looking for. Better luck tonite.

That's rough. Personally, I did shout here and there (not song requests, but lots of cheering... the man destroys it). Even made a trip to the bathroom when my bladder was ready to explode. I was fortunate enough to go to Boston 2 and I can verify that there is a little chunk of the setlist that is repeated but wouldn't that make sense since his solo catalog isn't too "volumous"? Come on, I'm open, Goodbye (makign it through it), and I can hear that acoustic version of porch every day for the rest of my life and still not get sick of it.
I'm definitely tired since I decided to wait after the show to catch a glimpse of the guy that has sung the soundtrack of my life afterward, although I didn't get the handshake, small conversation, whatever i thought it would be, seeing him at arms distance was worth the bags around my eyes this morning.
The eddie vedder experiment has been tremendously fulfilling for me this summer, I'm sorry to hear it didn't work out for you.

you waited outside the tour bus and had all the douche bags whining and yelling "hey man sign our posters" (even though the security guy said explicitly "don't ask") chase eddie away without personally getting a chance to say "thank you for being" too?

Complaining about what night a show is on that alot of people I know would have loved to have been at seems totally ridiculous to me. Who cares what night the show is on? Really. Travel to one on a weekend then, like alot of us who don't live where these tours have landed have had to. Fuck.

I never understand this:
I have to work EVERY Weekday... what's the big fucking deal about dragging you ass into work a little late? Does the business stop if you are not there? If, the answer is 'Yes'... then either you are not getting paid enough or they need to hire more people to handle the workload.
...
The same thing goes for leaving a concert (or ball game early). well, i can see leaving a game where it's a blow out... but, what's the excuse? Beat the traffic? Got to work tomorrow? All I get for leaving early is I get to watch Letterman... not a big enough pay out in my book.

fine but how does any of this equate to a "snooze fest?"
am i really goin to read to the end to see if I can figure out how Monday and Yelling Fans equal snoozefest, he's not gonna tell us is he/she...
I do think the EV solo is an interesting beast that perhaps some are not fully prepared for. He started every West Coast gig with TWO LULABIES basically, that should tell you the mood of these gigs. It's more story-telling than rock concert.
When a James Taylor tune is one of the most rockin of the night, it takes a different kinda mindset, a different kind of appreciatation. I had one friend in Santa Cruz say, "that was kinda boring..." but a week later he was still buzzin off of it.
Personally, Berk2 on a Tuesday night was one of the top five shows I've seen in 26 years of concert going! (Ace Frehely on a Tuesday night was fun too!)
I can't believe people are on here complaining what day a show is- at least you have a show to go to! We didn't get any in the South!
If you hate it so much, sell your damn ticket tomorrow so a real fan can enjoy a show on a TUESDAY night!
I agree with Lukin.
Underneath this smile lies everything...All my hopes, anger, pride and shame...make myself a pact, not to shut doors on the past just for today,... I am free.
I can't count how many shows I've been to when I've had a terrible experience because of shitty idiots. I like to drink, and I like to drink a good deal, but I'm never doing much more than cheering for a show between songs. I remember the big assholes at the Gorge shows of 2006 who were practically knocking the shit out of me every time a song came on that they recognized. So I understand being upset at the audience at such events. Audiences can collectively suck. It's really sad. I'd rather they stay home and listen to CD's instead of spending the money for the tickets and coming to the show.
