I won't be seeing them yet until OKC, but I was just wondering, which songs do you guys think are great live off the new album? I heard that Pendulum has been a great opener, but other than that I haven't heard much on any others.

I personally think that My Fathers Son, Infallible, and Swallowed Whole will be great live.

MYM is fast and hectic to play live. I liked LB live but all are good.

Lightning Bolt and Mind Your Manners. thought both really came across better live than in studio.

Pendulum, Sirens, Swallowed Whole, Yellow Moon, Lightning Bolt were stand outs for me.

My Fathers Son, MYM, Infallible, Future Days were great as well but the ones above really stood out for me.

Pendulum, Lightning Bolt and Mind Your Manners are all very good and I hope remain staples for years. Yellow Moon is another I like.

Booms organ on future days live is way better than the adult contemporary piano from the LP version.
  • Def agree w/ LB and MYM. Have to add Sirens too. Gorgeous live.
  • Oh, and Pendulum of course. First rate opener. I hope they keep it frequent even if not every show.

I'm hoping they play Swallowed Whole. That song is one of my favorite songs off the new album but it seems like they haven't given it enough play live.

All of them sound great llive.
Except MYM is a bit too frenetic for its own good.

And if a song has ever sucked all the energy out of a room the way infallible does, I've yet to hear it. It's a great song on the record. And maybe they haven't figured out a place for itin the set yet. But it's been midset both times I've seen it and it killed the whole flow and it wasn't just me. It was tangible in the room.

Other than those two, these songs all sound and feel better live than on the record.

Lightning Bolt is, I think, the biggest surprise live. It's a lot better live than on the album. Pendulum is good too, it's just such an easy target right now.

  • Sirens and Lightning Bolt were my two favorites live. Also, even though Let The Records Play took a while to grow on me, I really enjoyed the live version!

  • For the most part everything sounded great (specifically Yellow Moon, LB, and MYM). I did feel like Infalliable didn't sound as good as I thought it would. This is my favorite song from the album but the live version didn't really do it for me. It may have just been the way they did it that night tho.

Bingo... I'm at the show to rock out. I know some veterans are going to naturally be song chasers, but getting Lightning Bolt and Mind Your Manners at every show is a bonus. :D:D

Really like Sirens and Father's Son, too...

This album has been translating AMAZINGLY live. Favorites so far have been Sirens, Yellow Moon, and Infallible. But really haven't had anything negative to say about any of the songs I've heard (only missing Getaway, My Father's Son, Sleeping By Myself). Kick ass.

  • All of them frankly. Pendulum is a perfect opener. Lightning Bolt is full of energy. Let the records play is a great 1-2 punch with spin the black circle. Sirens is just a perfect song. Yellow moon is killer in the quiet first encore...a great mood setter. They're just all great live and they all feel and sound like set staples.
