Pittsburgh GA Line update

Any forum members in line right now.. update on how many people? Multi gates? Stuff like that?

    Im in line right now. Got here about 4, about 75 people already in line. There are 3 gates, but they are directing us all to one gate. So pumped!

    So... they're aware of all the people with GA access and are making them line up at one gate??

    It might be venue by venue, but I think one line is better than many. It's easier to control one group of people over many smaller ones and you think you're fourth in line if it's a smaller line, but if there's five lines.... :(

    it is a MESS, they originally had everybody lined up at one door only to find out that you could still just walk in from any other door... Nobody is checking who got there at what time, all doors are going to open at the same time so theres really no point to getting there early....

    it is a MESS, they originally had everybody lined up at one door only to find out that you could still just walk in from any other door... Nobody is checking who got there at what time, all doors are going to open at the same time so theres really no point to getting there early....

    That's sort of the point of the line. To get on the rail.

    I personally think the GA line is pointless if you aren't one of the first 50 and thus can't get on the rail. If a pit develops the rail is the only position that's costant.

    Then again most of us are in our 30s and the floor section is limited. How much of a pit can you get in that?

    Well for Vancouver you can enter any door for GA, and I am assuming it's the same elsewhere. Which means you want to be close to the front of any line at any door... and you'd want to figure out which gate gets you in closest to the pit entrance and see if you can get a good spot at that gate..... anyone know where you enter the floor in Rogers arena?? I don't plan on lining up for long (maybe get there at 6:00), but I would like to know how to get to the pit fastest once doors open.

    Because 100's of people want to be in the front row and there's only 50 spots? Why don't people share their front row tickets at concerts? lol.

    Basically for Pittsburgh there was no point in standing in the GA line unless you were one of the first 10-20 people in it. All of the staff were directing people to go wait in the one line that was for GA. My gut told me that it wasn't the right move but I went and got in the back of the line fairly close to 6:00 which probably had over 200 people in it at that point. I figured well maybe there is only one access point to the floor and they are blocking it off for this line. Nope. Opened all doors at 6:30 and once you were in the venue you could go wherever you wanted. So while I could have stood at another gate with 10-15 people in front of me, I was instead in a much longer line that was only feeding through one door which of course was the bottleneck. By the time I got to the floor there were a lot more than the 200 that were in front of me in the GA line so lesson learned.

    Also the GA area was rather large. They mentioned they blocked off half of the floor and that was probably accurate. There was at least about what would have been 30 full rows in the GA area.

    Here's what went down. I was in the first 20 ppl in line.

    They had us all line up at one gate saying this would be the only gate to the floor. Ok fine. Then once 10c window opened they realized that the tix had the wristbands in them and due to that you could go in at any entrance. Security realizes this and is very nice and says we are gonna let this line in early at 6:10. Great!

    That didn't happen.


    We questioned when the time came and they were saying oh no ones here to take you. Even if it was 5 mins. So all these people who waited all day long and there were people across from them who lined up 30 mins ago about to beat them in.

    When doors did open it was a stupid mad dash and there were people around me who did just that and had been waiting maybe an hour. I got my spot on the rail but felt badly for those who got there around noon and were behind people I didn't speak with or see all day. My advice, talk with security make sure it's gonna be every door and get lined up across the doors.
