NBC’S “LATE NIGHT WITH JIMMY FALLON” CELEBRATES PEARL JAM OCTOBER 21-25 WITH A FULL WEEK OF PERFORMANCES HONORING THE ICONIC BAND

The Week Will Feature Two Nights of Performances by Pearl Jam and Special Performances by Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell, the Avett Brothers, Fleet Foxes frontman Robin Pecknold and Dierks Bentley

    Dumb question: When are shows like that taped? I'm seeing CC at Benaroya on the 20th and he is scheduled in Vancouver on the 22nd. Does he fly back and forth on the 21st? Anyway, I hope he practices Footsteps in Seattle.

    Probably the performances are pre-taped when the performers are already on the show at another time. I remember a couple years ago, PJ did "Mother" during Fallon's Pink Floyd Week, but it was only a few weeks after they'd been on the show to do "Ole" during the PJ20 celebrations (maybe right around the Toronto appearances and the TIFF premiere of the movie?), so I assumed that, rather than come back just to do the Floyd song, they recorded it the same night as "Ole" and Fallon slotted it in after the interviews on the Floyd Week show.

    Kimmel aint bad either. Love the free concerts he puts on, went down for Soundgarden last year and again for the Sound City Players when they closed down and played Hollywood Blvd. Was hoping PJ would do something there but it seems not.

    That makes sense, but do they tape in front of a studio audience? Wouldn't we have heard about it before now?

    Its taped in advance, has to be. Pearl Jam is preforming the last two days, 24th and 25th, songs from the new album. I went and liked Fallons FB page just so I can have some extra PJ on my news feed...if it wasnt for PJ, what good would FB be anyway?? LOL

    My concert date is Oct. 30th, and it will be, finally, my first! My son is grown and I got some money to spend on myself. I seen a picture of Philly concert and there are t-shirts for every song on the new album? Those shirts are $35-$45 a piece??? Is this true? I was planning on taking $250 for concert items but I cant buy 12 shirts at $35+ each.

    Looking forward to this. I like everyone involved, except did not know Dierks Bentley, listened now, sounds like country Lou Reed, likable. He also covered Just Breathe, the country song. :D
