Remember the artwork, with the 'Moon clip" of the gun with the single bullet.
An echo that rings a bullet unchained
one life, one grave joins the parade
And so you see, I have come to doubt
All that I once held as true
I stand alone without beliefs
The only truth I know is you.0 -

Certainly creates imagery. I see a "parade" of lost souls marching into the "ever after". At first I thought of another fallen soldier. It takes just one shot. Then my mind wandered to Newton, CT and the victims of mass shootings. Still then it could be about suicide or playing russian roulette. I reflect upon my own grief of losing a friend by suicide. If you take your own life, can your soul ever be at rest?

I was wondering how long until lyrics thread started to come up: thanks for posting the lyris for everybody, specially non-native speakers... this song, my oh my... great tune, great lyrics, great atmosphere, I said in other thread this song was a trip back to the 70's: one hears Doors, other hears Zeppelin, many hear Neil Young, I cannot tell which it is, but definitely this song is a remminiscence to that period, and of course one of the best in the album...... I am not in the business of being liked anymore ...0

Here far away
One could feel the earth vibrate
Moon changing shape and shade
as we all do under its gaze
Yellow moon on the rise
Yellow moon on the rise
Round we go, where we stop no one knows
So tonight the moon i go...
Yellow moon on the rise
An echo that rings a bullet unchained
one life, one grave joins the parade
At night the sky grows dark with fallen stars
who comes so far a headstone and grave
the colors turns grey
the black and white fades
Yellow Moon on the rise
Yellow Moon on the rise
Yellow Moon on the rise
Yellow Moon on the rise
It almost feels (lyric wise at least) like a lullaby. (Not that this bad.)0 -
