are you buying the license to the music? or the physical copy and some rights to make a backup of it.
i mean mp3 is not what is on the cd, and from my understanding to get a bit for bit copy of a cd isnt trivial...
if i buy the mp3s from 10c am i entitled to the FLACs? nope.
but are dumb laws meant to be broken? probably.
i mean you own four versions of it, if you "stole"/downloaded a crappy mp3 version i dont think you should feel guilty about it. and i think its okay to pretend that you encoded it yourself.
