I'm suddenly glad my lady can't make it to ED...embarrassing PJ drunks

She's a huge Springsteen fan and has had the luck of seeing him in some intimate venues, as well as Dylan and N Young. Beautiful, peaceful, respectful shows.
Luckily she won't have to be exposed to the drunken, moronic loudmouths that PJ and Ed seem to attract...realizing its a small portion of the base...not small enough though. It would be embarrassing to have her witness it. But I'll put up with it...unless its someone close to me....
If it goes on in Milwaukee I'll just skip Chicago (and yes someone else will gain a ticket!)
Great setlists so far! Pumped for that...

Every alternative rock band draws a certain percentage of douchebags. I know Eddie fancies himself a folk hero, but he's really still just the "frustrated, agitated, designated, alienated, spokesman for the disaffected grunge generation."

10 years ago maybe....based on the material they've released over the last 10 years I would love it if the all the youngsters still jackin off over Ten and VS would do it privately and stay away from the shows.
I know many folks who never listened to PJ but bought the ITW soundtrack and love it to death. That tells me theres a tad more to Ed than you care to give him credit for. I'll bet he'd laugh although if anyone called him a "folk hero"...
Very cool...hope that trend continues! Chicago concerns me, but maybe it will be a respectful crowd and a great night. I'll think positive thoughts.
I can totally see people who aren't into PJ being into Eddie's solo stuff. but I can't see those people going to his solo show. I imagine that most of the people going are diehards who hit up 4 PJ shows in a week

Drunkedly shouting songs out and screaming I love you Bruce at a 3000 seat venue during a largely scoustic show? Not according to my other half whose been to more Bruce shows than anyone on the planet I'm betting.
Well I personally know of 5 people going to Milwaukee or Chicago who are not big PJ fans...they just love his solo stuff after seeing the film and getting the CD. One may be coming with me in fact.

Not really...I realize the majority of the crowd are PJ diehards...but some exceptions.
Maybe at ESB shows but in a theatre on a solo tour it would be a little different just like an acoustic Neil Young show.
I think the truth of the matter is EV solo shows attract all PJ fans and with that the drunk assholes... Ed has to learn it's going to happen time and time again until the drunk assholes learn that it's not a rock 'n' roll show.
Sha la la la i'm in love with a jersey girl

The learning curve was pretty quick for both the crowd and for Eddie in Boston. The second night in Boston the crowd was much better behaved. He was pretty pissed off about the first night. Ed helped his own cause by shutting down the bar early (I think 8:30).
