How Charlottesville and not ATL or Nashville?

I understand that Charlottesville is on the way from Baltimore to Charlotte but ATL and Nashville would make so much more sense after Charlotte before NOLA.

Charlottesville = 43k population .. Nashville = 600k

Charlottesville really isn't a close drive for anyone especially on a week night

What am I missing?

    I believe that in May 2014, much like 2010, PJ will embark on their 2nd leg of this tour. They will take a few months off, but will hit up the midwest in May due to better weather for the ampitheater shows.

    I agree it makes no sense, just happy because I live here. I wonder if they have any ties to Coran Capshaw?

    How many shows has Charlottesville had compared to ATL or Nashville? Maybe it has more to do with going to places they have never been instead of two places they have been a lot.

    BTW...

    Charlottesville is only 45 minutes from me so it is infact a close drive for me and I am very biased about it having a date and the ATL not having one ;)

    I agree. I could definitely see them build something around either Sasquatch, Coachella, and/or the Firefly music festivals, much like they did with this tour and the Voodoo Fest. I find it hard to believe that Denver, Las Vegas, any city in Florida, and some combination of Cleveland, Columbus, Kansas City, Cincinnati, Milwaukee, etc. are being completely passed over. They'll get out your way eventually.

    Personally I love it. Charlottesville is only two hours from me and is the second to last show of the first leg. Gonna set it up for a fire of a show.

    Well I live in Nashville.... So I guess I will just be listening to all these shows on the bootlegs. Not close, but I guess I will save a lot of money.
