Now that Wrigley is sold out....

What is the best way to go about getting tickets for not much more than face value? Someone mentioned on this forum that a 10Club pre-party may be a source. How would that work?

I booked a hotel through Hotwire before having tickets, and cannot cancel now. So I will be in Chicago that weekend, still hoping to get into this concert.

I cannot afford to pay $300, $400, $500 for a pair of tickets (most singles are going for that much on Stub Hub), and want to know if I am a moron for thinking I may still have a chance to get face value tickets.

    If you are content just being in the ballpark and don't care where your seats are, you shouldn't have trouble getting tickets near face value close to the show date or even buying tickets 50-60% of face value from people with extras the day of the show.

    At Missoula I couldn't sell my extra for even $15. I ended up using it since the building was so damn hot and I left until right before PJ came on.

    I would consider a rooftop, w/ how quick it sold out, rooftop, yes you can't see them, but the sound will probably be better than being in the back of the 200 section or in the 500 section.

    Rooftop will be between $100-$150 and you do get all your food and drink included w/ that.

    I was hoping for two shows and if that was the case I was going to go rooftop for one of them.

    I was at a preparty for one of the Ed shows in Vegas.
    There were two sheets of paper on the wall. One for people who had tickets to get rid of and one for people who needed tickets.
    I got an extra that way. Thought it was genius. I will definetly suggest this for Chicago!

    or google wrigley field rooftops and you will come up w/ a few more those were the 2 I remember off the top of my head. Also, w/ the majority of the other concerts at wrigley, the rooftops usually end up selling tickets through groupon or a similar site for less than $100

    If you really want tickets, first and foremost don't worry about them in February. The show is 5 months out. I know it may be hard to travel a few hundred miles without the tickets, but the priced you see on Feb 9 will not be the same in a few months.

    In fact, write it down...some of those upper deck seats will be under face come July

    :lol: I'll take that bet too. There is no reason to think that PJ would make tour announcements more than 4 months out, since 3 - 4 months is the norm for concerts, so say the tour starts in October, we're talking June for the announcement.
