Someone did that in Berkeley. Because usual assholes were yelling stupid shit like "SOLAT", "Tremor Christ"....etc.
"Eddie you play what you want baby!" were the exact words.
Thats a great call.
I still think the 'Boom is Unnecessary" text message was one of the funniest things Ive ever read in this forum. And before I get shot down.....I think Boom is great.
Just cracked me up.
Dont think Id ever personally have the balls to yell something out. Ill just clap louder and jump higher
After the DC show was over I thought of something I should have yelled:
I WILL YELL LOUD SO ED CAN HEAR ME !!
Wish I would have thought of that at the show. Feel free to steal that at an upcoming show, I'd love to hear about what Ed's response would be if he's in a joking mood as he was in DC.
I didn't understand how bad the shouters were before seeing Ed live. Some of his responses were quite funny though. Thanks for ignoring Eddie's efforts to have an intimate atmosphere at these shows. I think if a DVD does come of this tour it will be a compilation like Touring Band 2000 so they can cut out all these ignorant fucks.

I'm not gonna lie, as annoying as those people were, I would have loved to have heard this one. Do it next time!

Is it really that bad?? Pardon my ignorance but I havent been that 'up' on the Ed solo threads/reviews.
I can tolerate something like that at a concert (well the odd call) but at what I assumed was an intimate (near acoustic) show you'd think some people would act with a bit more respect.
Why do SOME yanks like the sound of their voice so much????
I feel a little sorry for Ed now - I hope it doesnt get to him too much

It was really horrible. People were constantly getting up, whenever a song ended the same group of guys would just yell out requests for footsteps, and someone kept going GO CUBS! Eddie was really getting ticked off.

They didn't even listen when he said what he was saying was more important (I believe he was talking about the war or WM3 at that point, not 100% sure).
Guys this really upsets me. My pet hate in this life is disrespectful people closely followed by attention seekers that feel they need to be heard. Poor Ed has got both.
OK I lie....I dislike the word "like" tenfold more

Not usually, just really drunk twats that are trying to impress other cave-man like friends.
Or female stalkers that truly do love Eddie.
Agreed on both. At the Newark show, there weren't as many jackasses yelling song requests as I thought there'd be, well, at least around me.
But, there were a few female stalkers shrieking I LOOOOVE YOU and OH EDDDDIE!!!! Finally, some dude just yelled SHUT UP to one of these women and I never heard from her the rest of the night...pretty cool.
Tell that guy who keeps on yelling stuff to shut the hell up!!!

I would do it if I could go see Eddie solo again, but don't have the money to do so (currently Unemployable).
Anyone got an extra, free ticket to either Chicago show and a free place to stay? If so, I might be able to afford the gas to get there.

In my experience, stupidity does not discriminate on the basis of age. :-(
