So a week ago, a good buddy of mine passed away at the Eagles game. Had a heart attack walking back up to his seat. 42 years old. Left behind a wife and a 4 year old son. Funeral was Friday. Been friends for over 15 years. I tailgated with him for over 10. Life is unfair and real short and doesn’t make much sense sometimes.
Anyway, he was the biggest Birds fan I knew. Hope the Eagles pull this one out for him today.

the good news is that the Cowboys seemingly suck just a little worse than we do. the way this team has played at times this year to still have a legitimate chance at a division title is kind of crazy but we will take it.

I had not looked at the remaining schedule...you guys have a very real chance to make it if you run the table, beating the Cowgirls in the process. That is the only real game left, if Carson can figure out whatever is going on with his game. You did just play the 2 best teams on the schedule, so things could look very different after a few weeks playing crap teams.
I said I thought they'd lose these two and then win out before the season started. Didn't think they would look this bad but, yeah. It is all going to come down to the Cowboys game. They'll be favored in every game from here on out.
On the bright side, the defense is playing as well as it's played in a real long time. Offense will be better against weaker opponents and with getting guys healthy.

For a while, I'd say most if not all MLB teams had 25 men on their roster doing PEDs. And spare me (not you, the general public) the "oh but Griffey Jr. was clean" BS. Dude's power numbers show a perfect bell curve of when his PED use began and ended and his body broke down just as PEDs are want to cause. Every team had many PED users for a long time, some just got caught and some (Bonds and his huge head especially) just had better chemistry on their side. And because some were nice to the media (Griffey), the media turned a blind eye.

really good analysis by Orlovsky there. makes me question the receivers coach though that these guys aren't running the patterns correctly.
The problem is he has been mediocre at best all season. It's not just one or two games. Going back last year, they're just 10-12 in games he started....Tough to blame the coach when we're talking about a bunch of 2nd and 3rd stringers.
Things should start getting better this Sunday though. If they don't, then we're really in trouble!
