lol, i imagine what you'll do if anyone starts shouting is wait till you get home and make a post about how angry you were.

that's a bold statement. couple questions. how long are these solo shows? i'm guessing they're not as long as a normal pearl jam show. and how much are people getting charged for a single ticket? and before you go on your tirade, i'm not saying he doesn't care. but that statement above that you made.......nah, not buyin' it.

Well I buy it. period. a slightly shorter set (2 hours for 1 guy) and a ticket price to cover the cost of touring and playing theaters makes someone not care about his fans? I shouldn't put any other rock stars down-that's not what I meant there are some good ones out there. But there's something sooo cool about eddie. I just buy that he cares about not only being a good person, but also doing his job right and appreciating the people who appreciate him.

I say the odds are 10 - 1 that the East coast has more obnoxious screamers than the West coast.

I don't get how yelling requests or whatever between songs is a big deal.

It's not between songs. It's any time they feel the need to be assholes. As the song is staring, during any instrumental interludes, hell, while he's singing. It's honestly embarrassing to be grouped into the same species with these people.

well yeah I guess that's a little much for one guy with a guitar. don't worry, the tickets to his next solo tour will be $150 so he can weed out the riff raff

Besides the monkeys some other species undertook loud socialization during Liam performance...if you don't care go back to your doghouse/take a nap/play tetris on your iphone/masturbate but damn, be quiet

Another reason to have 10C-only shows...I'm guessing most Ten Club members know when to shut their traps & are pretty good at having some semblence of class. It's evolution babeeeee

Mmmmmmm...hate to break it to ya, but there were definitely people in the 10C section yelling.

I was in 10club seats tonight and this asshole behind me screamed for the first half the show while kicking the girls chair he was behind of. When Ed called out people for being belligerent assholes the guy is proud and stands up and starts screaming louder. I'm all for one singing, dancing, whatever at a show, but just screaming repeatedly for no reason other to just be an ass sucks.

I think my two favorite comments by him is "Don't tell me about Barack Obama, he f*ing sucks" and "Play a slow one for the homos!"

what a douche..normally expect better from the 10c seats..will be there in nyc and am hoping for the best.

And I am glad I am not alone in thinking so. People do not know how to appreciate this type of music in this type of environment. The girl behind me yelled/screamed "wish you would sit on my face" after wishlist. This really says it all!!! This was one hell of a show but the crowd was screaming and hollering that they drown out all the little guitar plays at the end of songs and totally overpowered his voice during and absolutely awesome rendition of Arc or was it The Wolf!! Incredible!!!!! but the crowd took it down a couple of notches.

BTW.. don't miss Liam Finn. He is worth it.
"don't even think about getting inside. Voices in my head...."

People were yelling during Arc??????!!!!!!! That's too bad. Its such a powerful song if people would just appreciate it. Dummies.

That's not what I did. Surprisingly, he started getting annoyed at us for keep looking at him ticked off as he was screaming in our ears. Then shit pretty much hit the fan, I wouldn't have done it during the show, but it was the encore break after Porch where he tried to start shit. After about 3 minutes of pretty much screaming at each other about him being a dumbass and pissing at least 6 of us in front of him off, who joined in on part of it, we thought he was done. Then Eddie came out for the encore and he starts shit like "hey can I stand, is that OK with you guys? come on is it ok?" after a few choice comments about how he was like 5'3" and couldn't see anything while we were standing in front of him, we're both 6'0", he didn't say anything anymore, nor could he see for the rest of the show. Thank god.

Edit: Yah Eddie actually had to stop Arc because too many people were yelling then restart.
  • People were yelling during Arc??????!!!!!!! That's too bad. Its such a powerful song if people would just appreciate it. Dummies.

Seriously, do you not know the story behind Arc? You weren't one of the people telling other people not to cheer, were you? I'm not talking about people who talk over Ed during Arc, I'm talking about people who are moved enough to make noise & stand up and cheer.

Because Arc is meant to be experienced with the noise of the crowd, whatever that may be, as a tribute to the fans who were lost.

I wouldn't start tossing around words like "dummies" if you don't know what you're talking about.
"If you're looking for someone to pull you out of that ditch, you're out of luck."
  • "The track entitled "Arc" was recorded as a vocal tribute to the nine people who died at the festival. Vedder only performed this song nine times on Pearl Jam's 2003 tour, and the band left the track off all released bootlegs as an act of respect."

Interesting last word "RESPECT" Some in the crowd certainly didn't have it.

But maybe 10 out of 2400 isn't really that bad. A guy near me yelled Lukin and Ed responded..."This is a request" I think that response could actually add fuel to those wanting to yell out so maybe Ed is OK with it sometimes.

The worse that I heard was the F-uck Bush during No More.. Although the guy maybe right, it certainly wasn't the right time to yell.

Yeah, I can do a Wikipedia search, too. I don't get where cheering is disrespectful.

maybe we need a sign campaign that says

    STFU
    or QUIET

instead of showing it to EV, we turn around and show the crowd

that or EV should get a couple of hot ring girls to hold up cards that say quiet please

Slow down there- I think you misunderstood me.

#1. I was not there last night, but I was lucky enough to experience Arc on the West coast tour. During that song, the crowd was extremely quiet and it was a very moving experience.

#2. I thought the previous poster was saying that people were screaming out 'I love you Eddies' and 'play leash you pussies' during the song, which, in my opinion would have ruined the mood just a little bit....

I'm all for cheering, clapping, whatever- in between songs. But like others have said, I paid money to see and hear Eddie.

    Have a good weekend!

So I searched Wikipedia? You have never been to the site?
Cheering by far is not disrespectful, I have done my share for sure (cheering that is, not being disrespectful). Ed was trying something he never did before (something like Liam does with loops) He was having all kinds of trouble getting the thing set up. Once he started there were some that were "cheering" and you could clearly see it was that that pissed him off or maybe it was the fact that it wasn't going the way he planned.

    My immediate thought was...
#1 - Song dedicated to 9 people and people couldn't keep quite for 2 minutes to let Ed try something
#2 - He had already mentioned about "a--holes" and it was starting to get to him.

Believe me I had ALL I could do to not blow out when he did Porch. I have seen PJ 40+ times and I can tell you that was probably the most intense version I had ever heard. I don't know why I thought it was so much better but I still am singing and humming it. Still can't believe I sat through Porch!

Sorry using Wiki upset you enough to post..and oh... I am WHITE so I guess I fit in.
