FOUND - ISO PJ 2000 PGH POSTER ****2020 UPDATE****

edited November 2020 in Lost Dogs
I am in search of the Pittsburgh 2000 Missing Link Poster. It is the last item I need to complete my concertt poster collection for all the shows I have seen. Who knew at 22 years old that posters would later become the thing I must have now in my 40's?

UPDATE:

Deal worked and complete - so thankful to everyone who replied, bumped, and helped get this done!

Thanks

I feel your pain, man! This was my first ever PJ show and I've been looking for the print for a looooong time. Next time I see it pop up anywhere, I'm taking a loan out for it! Last time I saw it on the auction site was late spring.

Excellent looking print! Hope someone can make the sale/trade for ya!

Been after this poster for a while as well, my biggest PJ ISO. its been the same few 10c members that pop up looking for this print.

i've mentioned this before in previous threads, no harm in mentioning again - i emailed 10c back in early '09 inquiring about this print. they were very forthright in their response indicating that they do indeed have a stack of these prints in their warehouse and have no plans to release anything from their archives prior to 2005. the reply ended with "but i've learned to never say never in the PJ world."

so, because of that email, i never wanted to pay a premium just for this print knowing they have a bunch just sitting in a room that potentially could be released. a few years later, i've even offered to buy one for the sake of a charity of their choice and they refused.

oh well, best of luck to the OP.

So I asked if this item was to be sold at the PJ Vault Sale this weekend and it apparently was not.

Can anyone help me out getting this print?

    Thanks

Continuing my efforts in getting this item. Is there anyone out there who would be willing to sacrifice this item so that a Pittsburgh PJ Fan can complete his collection?

    Thanks for the look

I'm not sure I follow. You are offering $1000, and someone posted a site selling one for $699.

For some reason insidetherockposterframe doesn't update his inventory, so everytjing shows up wether it's available or not.

We need to find out where ten club keeps its stash and organise a break in so that you and others can all get what they want. Maybe there would be a donkey kong msg in there for me. Whats the good of tenclub keeping them stored in a warehouse? Surely they could sell the stockpile and keep a few for limited edition charity auctions and the like that pop up every now and then

I think part of the problem is, they put out these runs that fans know are limited edition and the price skyrockets. If they just dump a whole other stack of these into the market, all those fans that paid $300, $600, or even the OP who would have already paid $1000 if someone sold one would be pretty pissed off to see their large investment end up dropping immensely.

I guess that's the chance you take with buying some of this stuff at high prices, but the 10c has been pretty good for the most part about not killing the value of items after they reach the secondary market. I buy my posters for the wall, so I wouldn't be super mad if some of mine dropped in value, but the values keep going up and up.

When you think about it, them dropping all those posters would in theory be a good idea. It would strike fear into that secondary market. The problem is, the flippers would get theirs before anyone would worry about other prints dropping much later. As for this print, who knows, maybe they will end up in a mystery tube at some point!
