Trying to sleep, 81. I'm only managing sporadic naps. My body still thinks I'm in Seattle. I was fine flying over; it's coming back to England that's shafted me. In the meantime, I have travel exhaustion. It's all fooked.

i get it. flying east always fucks me up too. all i've done is try to live in my normal time zone. ie be up when i normally am up, and go to bed when i normally go to bed. ussally a day or two and i'm back to normal.

how long have you been home.

I find a good ol' fashioned hug cures this..

or a really good drunk and roll in the hay works everytime..

I take dramamine and sleep the entire flight and then try to stay awake until bedtime (in the current time zone). Sort of works...as long as I'm not forced to sit still

As a former international pilot I have two suggestions. THE best way to deal with it is light exposure. Your brain doesn't know what time it is- but it does know light. Don't close your blinds.
Or- next time you travel, don't conform to the alternative time zone. Stay on your usual schedule. I enjoy that one because it gives you an excuse to roam the town at really odd hours.

Stay healthy and stay away from the sauce while your trying to recover.
