for the expected Temple reunion...who agrees it will happen or do you bank on the standard festival-hits setlist?

First off, hoping for a 2+ hour set, (the new orleans show 2010 was hour and 45 iirc). i am not too worried about the set list, we'll get the normal mix. having seen the totd reunion at pj20, i would like just 1, max 2 songs w/cornell.

w/the layoff i am hoping we might get a taste of some new material being introduced for first time???

TOLD is going to happen. Even if for 1 song, hope for Reach Down. Looking at setlist from the European shows, we will have a great show.

If Mike decides to rip in Outshined and Cornell walks out, I'll smile.

I think we can bank on at least 1 TOTD song. If they're both there, why not?! Also, because of the lack of US shows this year, the fact that it's Philly, and the fact that it's a US festival (I think US festivals tend to be a bit less greatest hits-y than Euro festivals...check out the Bonnaroo '08 set!) I think we're in for a pretty great set!

Maybe its the fact that I've finally got tickets after debating since the announcment, but something is starting to tell me that PJ is gonna fkn BRING IT! I mean they are closing this frickin festival out, and being as unique as it now is..I can't see them just mailing it in here. I think the guys are gonna be jacked to be on the east coast and fkn kicking out the fkn jams! Prob gonna be real ballsy and shredding shit up just to prove a point. What point? The one that proves that they ARE the Greatest band on earth and even JayZ knows it ;)
I'm feeling 30 songs at least and a whole lotta energy come Sunday evening. PJ, outdoor summer night before Labor day, in Philly?!! I can't fuckin wait :)

I expect they bring it too, but with like 27 songs and a lot of the hits. I'll enjoy it even if that's the case. Just open with Oceans ;).

Yep...I'll take 27. Not counting Ed w/ X on Devil Doll, Rock this Way with DMC, the boys w/ Cornell on a few Soundgarden songs, a lil Ed solo during the day ( Open All Night for Bruce nearby) ;);)

Oh yeah...JayZ in on Bushleaguer w/ Obama head nodding side stage :lol:

Edit: And opening with Oceans

I'm not even that jazzed on the Temple reunion (I've seen 3/4 of them)...and agreed that the EU setlists were pretty awesome, so we could be in for a not-standard festival setlist...I doubt any Ed solo other than Just Breathe and maybe 1 more...Outshined would be amazing, but think that's a long shot...
If it is a special night, maybe a Crown of Thorns since that was missed at PJ20???
And would LOVE an Oceans opener...but dunno...

HTI to open is my prediction...

I made the thread asking PJ to open with Oceans, but... hard to Imagine is my favorite track that I have not heard live. I'd be ecstatic to hear this anywhere in the set. I don't see it as the opener though because it opened Bonnarroo up.

They have opened with Hard to Imagine a few times in the area over the years I think. I know we haven't gotten Oceans here in forever but I think that might be a no go this time. And while I usually don't expect anything too crazy during festival shows, the fact that they have been killing it over in Europe is getting me even more excited every day.

Looks like the over/under is set at 27.5 songs! :corn:
    '08- Camden 1-2   '09- Chicago 2; Spectrum 1-4
    '10- MSG 1-2   '11- PJ20

    '14- Denver   '16- Philly 1-2; MSG 2
    '17- Pilgrimage Music Fest (Eddie)
    '18- Fenway
