Yarn Bombing

So my Wife wants to do this, anybody ever take part or witness such a thing?

Apparently you show up in the middle of the night like some kind of Knitting Ninja and POOF, in the morning the world's a prettier place. Not even sure if it is illegal.

    some are actually planned with the city. It's considered 'public art' so not illegal.

    I've read a lot about it and seen some examples, but I'm not a knitter so I've never done it. I'm not sure about the legality of it but it doesn't seem to hurt anything either. It's not like damaging or defacing some work of art, since it's not permanent. Seems like you'd have to do some planning and measuring ahead of time to get it right.

    Thats what i'm thinking, if somebody don't like it, they can fix it with a pair of scissors.

    A friend of mine, she's really into knitting. Knits sweaters, hats, gloves, all kinds of stuff. She's really good at it. She yarn-bombed a parking meter in SLC. The yarn is still on it. It's a testament to her skill and quickness at knitting.

    There was a group of people that did this at a park in Cape May. They covered the trees - looked really cool. It really is a work of art.
