I still remember the 1st time I heard this song prior to the release of Vitalogy in '94, and how excited I was saying to myself "Pearl Jam have changed their sound...and I LOVE it!". This song came came on my ipod on the way to work today, and I still got those chills I felt all those years ago. Man I love this band! "the smallest ocean still gets...big big waves"

One of my all time favorite PJ songs. I'm still patiently waiting to hear it live...

One of my faves also...particularly Missoula '95 version, Camden 9.10.00 & Boston '94...
Funny story - my very first PJ show was in 1993 in Vegas (@Aladdin) and that song struck a major chord (Jeff's bass moved the floor!) with me, even though I had never heard it before...fast forward to when Vitalogy gets released and I'm like "I know this tune, why do I know this tune???" It was years later (thanks internet :)) that I had that epiphany like moment (A-HA!) AND I believe it was the 1st time they busted it out...
That Aladdin show solidified my love of that band - been a diehard ever since...
    What a night...
And Tremor Christ - what a song!
Thanks IAMMINE16 for making this thread, I just started blasting Mansfield 7/11/03 version in your honor (and to the dismay of my still sleeping family)

Very lucky to have heard this at my 4th show. I thought I'd get it again at MSG 2010 1 when Eddie said something about how they feel tremors when playing at that arena, but they went into Unthought Known instead.

Big time. But at least I heard TC before. I feel bad for the people who thought they would finally hear it.

Couldn't agree with everyone more. Tremor Christ is such a hard rock song. Angry without the anger. Does that make sense? Dark and heavy. I'm listening to the studio version now and the chills won't go away!
