Hearing Pearl Jam is playing Music Midtown in Atlanta this year from multiple people who know the promoters. They play Saturday night and Foo Fighters play Friday night. Cant wait. I live two blocks from Piedmont Park. Dream come true

It is only a one day festival unless they are changing it this year.

I also don't really do the massive festival thing, but I'm happy the South is getting some dates.

I think PJs answer to lagging ticket sales in the South is to play the major festivals where that isn't an issue.

I live in Atlanta and probably can't make Deluna so I'd love for this to be true, but don't most festivals have it in their contract that headlining bands can't play shows in other close-by major cities for a certain amount of days around a festival?

It just seems odd that PJ would be playing two festivals so close together.

You're likely to see Foos in FL on Friday. Foos and PJ in Atlanta on Saturday. PJ in FL on Sunday. FL dates could be switched.

Atlanta is one day with 2 stages. The concert just moves from one stage to the next, they do not play at the same time. Cuts down time between acts.

According to the AJC, Music Midtown is back to two days this year.

Yep, back to 2 days again this year.

Also saw somewhere that there were over 40K tickets sold for one day last year.

Count me in the 40k this year if PJ headlines!

As long as Outkast isn't there....

I miss the days when PJ played stand alone shows in the U.S.

All these years...all those pages and pages on threads begging for shows...how many miles driven and dollars spent flying everywhere else to see PJ except your hometowns or within driving distance...and now, when it looks like PJ is in fact going to play a few South dates, people complain that they are festival shows? :wtf:

Come on guys, keep it in perspective! If we weren't already flying to Europe and seeing PJ, I'd be booking a flight to Atlanta for sure (that Delta hub-to-hub connection from Minneapolis to Atlanta is great).
