they don't know about hockey in new jersey? seems strange :?
I lived is SoCal for several years and I still remember the total amount of hockey conversations I had with the common populace ... zero.
Come to think of it, after spending more then a decade on the west coast, I think that total is still zero. :?Be Excellent To Each OtherParty On, Dudes!0 -

did you actually talk to any hockey fans? go to a game? make fun of la all you want, but the hockey fans here are great but we are a rare breed0 -
Congrats to the Kings and their fans. Great run.
Makes sense about the TV ratings down. Last year's finals included an Original Six and a Canadian team. Last year was one for the ages. This year, not so much. The Kings looked in control the entire series. Tip of the cap to them for a fantastic display the past few weeks."FF, I've heard the droning about the Sawx being the baby dolls. Yeah, I get it, you guys invented baseball and suffered forever. I get it." -JearlPam09250 -
Insanely jealous this day every year0

Keep smilin', bro. Enjoy it!drivingrl: "Will I ever get to meet Gwen Stefani?"

I'm not making fun of LA or Kings fans who are passionate. I'm just noting that in a decade on the west coast, hockey never came up in conversation at work or when I was out on the town. What I'm saying is that with the majority of the population, hockey is out of sight and out of mind.norm wrote:did you actually talk to any hockey fans? go to a game? make fun of la all you want, but the hockey fans here are great but we are a rare breed
And cheers to the faithful that follow the Kings and Sharks (screw you, anaheim)Be Excellent To Each OtherParty On, Dudes!0 -
I'm just glad there's no ugly riots like last year"FF, I've heard the droning about the Sawx being the baby dolls. Yeah, I get it, you guys invented baseball and suffered forever. I get it." -JearlPam09250

well let's be honest...the majority of people here know more about the kardashintons than anything else so i can see how trying to talk about hockey would be difficult

yeah, you have a point. I guess you have to live near places where the residents don't seem to concerned with second-hand smoke and like Friday fish frys in order to talk about hockey.81 wrote:you could say that for a lot of places.Be Excellent To Each OtherParty On, Dudes!0 -

Try being a fan of the Dallas Stars.
When I come across other Stars fans in public, I give them - at the very least - a high five. Some complete strangers have gotten a hug from me for being hockey fans.drivingrl: "Will I ever get to meet Gwen Stefani?"
