R.E.M. have plenty of perfect records, not just Automatic...Life's Rich Pageant, Fables of the Reconstruction, Document, (though I've grown to loathe "end of the world") Green, Out of Time, and New Adventures in Hi-Fi. Love 'em, gonna miss 'em. They were my first "My Band" of my life. When all my friends were listening to crappy hair metal, I latched on to these guys (when I first saw them on Letterman) and I never regretted it. When they first hit the "mainstream" with "The One I love" I felt personally vindicated for my wisdom in choosing them as "My Band"... Document is a masterpiece.
