I know this should be in the Musicians Forum (it is ), But I wanted to share because it's directly related to me hearing "Be Like Wind" from the PJ20 soundtrack. I literally picked up my guitar and attempted to record a little melody myself, inspired by how Mikey can rock our faces, yet also write the most beautiful of melodies. i.e. Thunderclap from TB2k.
Tell me what you think? Or that is sucks, whichever

They say every sin is deadly but I believe they may be wrong...I'm guilty of all seven and I don't feel too bad at all
thanks a lot! As you can see, when I first bought a guitar, I was clearly inspired by McCready, as I bought the same sunburst Fender Strat he has.
PJ's has influenced me in so many ways.
Alpine Valley Resort is etched in my brain!!!
Very cool, sounds good. But .... and I don't mean this at all in a derogatory way.... but does anyone else thinks it had a very "Man of the Hour" feel to it. Not exactly the same but it's the first thing I thought of when I was listening to you play.
I kinda hear what you mean now that you say it. Definitely wasn't trying to knock off PJ, but there are similarities.
Yeah, definitely could tell you were trying to do your own thing and weren't trying to blatantly rip them off but on the flip side it had that kind of feel for me. I suppose if the band is as big of an influence on you and your music as you say though that something like that is bound to bleed through. Good stuff none the less though. Keep it up!
