I am looking forward to this. Previews look good but it boggles my mind how they can make a movie out of that book.

Definitely looking forward to seeing this one. May have to see this one solo...I doubt I could convince my fiance to see a movie about the statistical revolution in baseball. Although it does star Brad Pitt, so that may sway her decision.

  • i remember watching "the fan" as a kid and enjoying it

i'm really looking forward to "moneyball," as i only took one break when reading the book for some sleep. i realize that the movie can't really follow the book per se, but as long as it is consistently clever i'll be very happy.

i am forcing my wife to go see this with me.

    from ... http://www.toronto.com/article/696985

Moneyball: “A complete crowd-pleaser with great performances from Pitt, Hill and Hoffman, will take its place as one of the best baseball movies ever made.”

comment from the VP of communications for TIFF ... if you peruse the link ... you'll also see PJ20 as an highly anticipated film at this years TIFF ...

solid movie, if not a little slow at times. cool to see a little of the back scene stuff, assuming it wasn't all made up.

it's defiantly not the best baseball movie ever. not when you have films like major league, bull durham, and the bad news bears

No love for Rookie of the Year or Angels in the Outfield?

    Major League 2
    Sandlot
    Field of Dreams

It was a pretty good movie, but I'd rather watch any of the others above again before Moneyball.

Very solid movie. Is it really true that Billy Beane never stays at the park and watches the actual games???

Also...am I the only person in the world who hates Bull Durham?

Seems to be more of a love story than baseball movie. Maybe it was just so hyped up as one of the best sports movies ever that when I finally watched it a few years back, I wasn't that impressed.
