Maybe its because our celebrity obsessed culture loves our politicians to be celebrities like Palin, Perry, and Bachman, instead of having principles.

Its a sad day that the most honest reporting comes from Comedy Central. But at the same time really funny.

I just watched this today, it is fantastic...I think this kind of thing...the constant ignoring of paul, is why his fans and supporters are so rabid...The CNN guy couldn't have been more right on with how the media feels about Paul...and it is so sad...that guy should be fucking fired for what that...

I keep hearing how he is unelectable...bullshit...it isn't that he cannot be elected, it is that the establishment...lets call them Big Politic...doesn't want him to, it might send a message to the american people that only having two choices each election is RETARDED.

It is a sad statement of American journalism when the best journalism comes from a parody of daily news reports broadcast on a comedy network at 11:00 P.M.
    ...
American newsrooms are all about ratings and feed upon American's apparent short term memory loss. We can't seem to remember what happened last week, let alone, what happened 5 or 10 years ago. We are more impressed with Sarah Palin's empty sound bites about 'standing for Liberty.. and Freedom', than listening to Ron Paul's real world proposals to fix our economy.
It is sad... how far we have fallen from the days of Walter Cronkite.

I'm thinking that a parody news show is the only sort of broadcast journalism that can get any lick of what's really going on out there. The mainstream media is too tight lip, controlled, and revolving around celebrity...

He's "unelectable" because that's what the establishment tells us. And we eat it right up.

I'm beside myself that this is actually starting to garner attention. It feels great to have a voice like Jon Stewart's join the crowd. Fantastic segment.

I agree. But, on the two choices, the great thing about Ron Paul is that he's not dumb enough to try to go outside the party. He's making a huge difference inside the party itself.

I think this type of thing might be just what the doctor ordered to get him a bit more traction.

It's depressing to think how anyone can take the mainstream news networks seriously. It's even more depressing to think that millions of people sit blinking in front of this bullshit every day.

Exactly. The best way to get ratings is to ask questions that will spark controversy. Instead of talking about monetary policy, its someone's views on gay marriage or what Perry said about Bernanke. Instead of focusing on ideals and philosophy, its attacking others.

    Check this out:

His ideas are starting to get into the mainstream. For me, he is the only GOP candidate that will represent change for the better.
