the last thread like this was shut down. we can disagree on what songs we like, but to say that they "suck" is going too far.
agreed, i went overboard. these songs perturb me.
kidding aside, should have framed the op better. oh well...
have a fab sat night, and btw, jersey shore sux...
That bring said... ill retract my statement " SOUTH FANS ARE DUDS" hahaha...
specifically... a shout out to LUKINFAN... who runs a good chunk of our setlist threads... ATTA BOY ROG
you know what, i REALLY fkin hate boston like the celtics, sox, and pats all can be taking straight to hell. the funny thing is 2 fold;

Winded is the sailor...drifting by the storm...
Wounded is the organ he left all...bloodied on the shore...
Gorgeous was his savior, sees her...drowning in his wake...
Daily taste the salt of her tears, but...a chance blamed fate...
Little secrets, tremors...turned to quake...
The smallest oceans still get...big, big waves...
Ransom paid the devil...he whispers pleasing words...
Triumphant are the angels if they can...a get there first...
Little secrets tremors...turned to quake...
The smallest oceans still get...big, big waves...
I'll decide...take the dive...
Take my time...not my life...
Wait for signs...believe in lies...
To get by...it's divine...whoa...
Oh, you know what it's like...
Turns the bow back, tows and...drops the line...
Puts his faith in love and tremor christ...
I can't read these lyrics without singing the song! Tremor Christ is GREAT! Just the way he sings it too..so much emotion with it. I can't really imagine anyone 'hating' this song yanno? It's eerie, yet soothing.

thx for responses and generally when an op has a negative (read-non pj lovefest) subject matter we expect a pile on, just pile on the subject rather than the op imo.

Cept...good word. Id finsh this here post but i needs to git to bed. Good lord willin and the cricks dont rise im doing some werk round the homestead tommara.

I think these have got to be some of Eddie's most poetic and vivid lyrics ever, without even having a really obvious smack-in-your-face meaning. The whole mood of the song, the eeriness, the chilling vocals that crescendo alongside the music in the chorus - everything is just amazing. As well as Eddie's lyrics, the music is great - guitars, bass and drums. All just work so well together and create a really strong atmosphere. And the imagery of the lyrics. I could go on and on...
One of my favourites off Vitalogy. Has so many different meanings too - OP if you go to words&communication (is that what it's called, i forget?) there's a thread about the meanings, and maybe reading different interpretations of the song will help you to be enlightened? Because this song is too good to not like IMO. It's just great.

Secondly... He is totally right... the SOUTH FANS ARE DUDS... When I say that, I dont mean there arent any really big PJ Fans in the south... I know there are a ton of you guys ... but For whatever reason... if you go back and listen to really any SOUTHERN show and compare it to any other Midwest or East Coast show... they sound like the band is playing to a empty arena... there is a major lack of energy in the south for whatever reason... Sorry to tell ya bro...
That's a pretty hefty statement from someone who has never been to a show in the south (based on your signature). I've been to several shows in the south and several on the east coast, so I can say with a bit of credibility that your statement is...well, off-base to say the least.

Haha ya i retracted my statement... got worked up by the unneccessary attack on Tremor Christ haha
Fair enough. By the way, we've been to several of the same shows - Boston & Hartford 2006, 2008, and 2010. Hopefully we'll get some more in the south one of these days so I can save on travel expenses.
And yes, Tremor Christ is a brilliant song. I'd also put 1/2 Full in the upper crust of PJ songs. I don't see how you can't dig Mike's shredding on that one. Great live song.

Been to Texas on four different occasions. Had a great time and the locals were always awesome.
Austin
San Antonio
Laredo
Amarillo
Just giving the OP some shit. I have nothing against TX. And always hope you guys get shows when the band tours.
As for 1/2 Full, it's ok, not one of my favorites. Tremor Christ is sick. One of the best on perhaps the best album the band has yet made.
The lyrics are sick.
Flame..!

That said, you're crazy for not digging Tremor Christ!
