vip parking via tm?

so my understanding is this does 2 things;

1. gets you closer to exit for easier in/out
2. allows you to enter park earlier than standard parking rules (that comes w/ticket)

you can either;

1. buy vip parking for $30/day
2. buy the 'get in early' pass for general parking for $20/day
3. do/pay nothing and park at alloted spaces in allotted opening times

am i correct here? a slight worry about #3 point and getting stuck in a mile long line of cars waiting to enter at 11am or something. if that is not normally the case, i will do nada as wife does not care for starting the tailgate at 9am for an ensuing 15 hour day.

any feedback appreciated...

    Can I ask where you saw this info? I was under the impression that VIP Parking was closest lot to the venue and therefore furthest from the exit. I haven't been to Alpine since 2003 (last time PJ played there) so maybe things have changed. If there is easy in/out privileges, it may be worth it.

    I would highly recommend the VIP parking. You can get triple parked in if you don't. I've been going to Alpine for years and lately I've gone for the VIP and have gotten out at the end of the night much faster. You can sit around and wait for hours if you don't. It still might not be a quick out, but it will be faster than the alternative. I've never heard it gets you in early though, so that is new to me. Anyway, I would recommend choice #1.

    My bad, bad info on vip proximity but according to some reviews from previous shows (phish), the vip lot is definitely way to go. i just hope if purchasing that lot will allow for early entry and not getting stuck in some mile long stretch for multiple hours.
