The strokes are the perfect warmup for PJ.

While it would be nice to see a suprise guest, etc, I think they nailed this one.
Lyrically they are no pearl jam, but they rival them musically and they will melt our faces..this is gonna be great!!! Can't think of a better match....

i've always really liked the strokes but never saw them live. I'm pretty jazzed to see them if I score PJ 20 tickets.

Sorry but they do not rival Pearl Jam musically.

I couldn't agree more. The Strokes are a great live band. They will completely rock if the crowd is into it. Ive seen them a few times now and for me they are the only band that can rival Pearl Jam as far as a live performance goes. The problem is that I have seen a lot of "Strokes Suck" sentiment. I dont understand it and hope that it doesn't put a damper on the performance- anyone who saw them open for Tom Petty would know what i'm talking about. Anyone who was at Lollapalooza last year knows how great a show they can be, I just hope that the crowd is into them.

Seems that the general consensus is that the strokes suck.....too bad as this has the makings to be a great night of music. I was hoping to see the strokes with fellow PJ fans. sounds like most will be eating at the buffet or taking a nap on the lawn.

But I would like to add that I love Glen Harsard (who no one seems to be mentioning) and Queens of the Stone Age seem to have a pretty good sound. I am open to new music so I will give them a chance live.

Love The Strokes. Saw them in Melbourne last year but had also heard they were not great live... WHAT A LOAD OF A CRAP.. I got on the rail, something I haven't been able to do for PJ and had one of the nights of my life. It was only short compared to PJ, but it was awesome.. give them a go

I've had tickets 3 times for the strokes... All 3 times they have cancelled the gig. 2 times on the Weezer tour and once at mississippi nights in STL.

I met them in the atlanta airport and my flight was delayed.

I have tickets for pj20.... I hope they don't cancel.

I saw the strokes for the first time at MSG back in April. I had heard mixed things about them live but though they put on a hell of a show. I'm pumped to be seeing them again.

I was not a big fan of The Strokes until I saw them live. I thought they put on a great show and am excited to see them again!

I saw them at Reading festival (UK) a long time ago on their 1st/2nd album tour and they were good live, but I can't get that excited about them, I think they're okay though so will watch them at least 1 night. I'm defo hoping for a bit of Mercy, Mercy Me with Ed and was Josh from Queens on that record too?

I saw them a while back now doing a co-headliner with the White Stripes in Detroit (maybe 2000?)

Even back then, they were one of the tightest live bands I've ever seen. Cant wait to hear stuff from their last couple of albums live at PJ20!!!
