Why wouldn't they do multiple locations for PJ20?

Honestly, what would be the reasoning behind not doing, say 4 locations for their celebration? East coast, west coast, south (HA!), and mid west. Everyone (mostly) would be happy.
I'm sure this has been talked about, but why not? If the band is not planning a big tour, just hit up 4-5 locations for a weekend of shows. It would total out to 8-10 shows spread out over 4-5 cities. That should make 95% of the fans happy and would be worth it to the band/crew financially.
I'm not a huge fan of DMB, but he seems to be doing it the right way.

No offense meant......just the silly on-going joke we always have around here. If anything, you know they wouldn't have any trouble selling tickets to it.0 -
well the problem is 95% of the fans do not live in the united states0

that's true, sorry, I guess I'm just getting anxious for another PJ/Ed announcement not including the south - I'm hopeful, but very doubtful. And I agree with you, I think DMB is onto something with the multiple festivalsCantKeepmedown wrote:LukinFan wrote:why does the south have to have a "HA!" after it?

95%? That seems a little high. Hell, 95% of the fans probably live in the NE USsparky_fry wrote:well the problem is 95% of the fans do not live in the united states

DMB is for sure onto something. As much as I dislike his music, that's the perfect way to do it.* Cincinnati, OH 8.20.2000 *

Because no matter what they do it still wouldn't make everyone happy. Why just 4 and then do you have to do one in every continent, etc? And then afterwards we'd have all the threads arguing about which was the best PJ20 show and on an on.
I mean, I understand what DMB is trying to do but to me, having more than one 20th anniversary show kind of takes away the OTOTO aspect of it for me. Just like you can't have 4 different wedding days or birthday parties or graduation days. You know what I'm trying to say? Maybe they'll do a small Canada or South America tour afterwards that we've seen rumors about on there.
I kind of get the feeling from their interviews that they are ready to get this stuff over with and move on to making new music.1998 - Noblesville

I think one is perfect for both the fans and the band. The band probably just wants to celebrate once. The fans can be at the ONE event. It's win-win.0

if I get better seats at alpine because everyone's waiting for their east/west coast shows, I'm down.
I just can't see a multiple-day touring festival happening unless the lineup was stellar.0 -

If Ed is doing any type of extended US tour there is no way he would skip Nashville and Ryman Auditorium.Member 164xxx

I'm sure this has been talked about, but why not?
Because that would be the most organized and convenient solution.
