Just saw on The Who website talk of a possible tour in spring of 2011. It would be beyond great to see Pearl Jam play with them!

Not really sure how that would work though, I can't imagine Pearl Jam or The Who "opening", maybe they could alternate set lists and close together?

Think it would have to be PJ opening for The Who ... can't imagine Ed ever letting The Who open for him.

Saw Ed with The Who in March :D ... was a nice surprise.
So are we strangers now? Like rock and roll and the radio?

I think Eddie solo opening for The Who in Europe spring next year could be a serious option.

yeah, Daltrey still has it. Saw his solo tour last October.

I would love to see pearl jam play with the who. Seen the who twice as well.

If it happened, it would prolly work like the tom petty shows; it would be co- headline and prolly like 6-10 shows.

Pearl jam would play an 18 song set
Then the who would Headline with a 20- 25 song set. (that's normally the set length for who)
and more than likely they would collaborate on a number during the who set!

I would so love to see this happen.

It would be the ULTIMATE for me. The Who are my all time favorite, with PJ a very, very close second. But I have to give it to my man Pete. I absolutely love him.

hahaha, just realized the OP has a pic of Ed in a Who T-shirt.

Back in '03, Ed signed my Who bandana that I got in 1989 and drew a little Who sign on it. It's my favorite thing in the whole world. :P

If I ever had the good fortune to see this happen, that would be insane! My two favorites? Couldn't be much better than that!

And yep, Roger & Pete definitely still got it!

A friend of mine (who's fave band is the who) told me they cancelled their 2010 dates because Pete's hearing has gotten to the point where he can't hear at all anymore, and the ringing is supposedly really bad and unbearable. This is of late too, I know he has always had tinitus and hearing loss.

Is this true?, or is it just media blowing stuff out of proportion. I hope they figure out a way to help him. Never could figure out why he doesn't use the in ear monitors. I know Roger does. Hope Pete feels like he can play again soon if this is true.

the link says it has an error loading, guess the site is down. Did another search, and looks like they are working aroung his tnitus experimenting with different monitors and such, so hopefully we see them next year.

Thanks, metsfan. really appreciate it. sucks the site is down though.

Yeah I would prefer just a regular tour playing stuff from all their releases. Their last release, Endless Wire is excellent and I would love to hear that mixed in with all the old stuff.

I did see three shows from the Endless Wire tour and they sounded great.

I did hear about Pete’s hearing problems being an issue again, poor guy. Hopefully they can work around it.
